Wish You All Good Luck, Much Fun But Above All I Wish You Will Tell Something To Usa And Maybe Change The Public Opinion.
I'm telling you guys it will be really cold. Its freezing today and I doubt it will change very much by tomorrow, it might even snow. I live 30 minutes away so believe me.. dress as warm as you can! You can always take layers off if you get too warm.
i cant wait to go! the hubby and i just painted up a bunch of signs. we are both so excited to get to a protest, its been a while.
jack maundrell of course there will be anarchist there. call for all radicals to assemble at duport circle, seperate from the main rally. all ultra lefties, commies, anti-authoritarians, anarchists, rejecters of political identity, punks and people who realize not just our policy but our system is fatally flawed should assemble at duport circle at 11 am, and be prepared to take democracy to the streets. these action was called by a local chapter of the sds and is where you want to be if you are not interested in people who are still operating under the illusion that the democrats will do anythign in the interest of the people.
I was with sds in the morning before I heard they threw a brick or a rock at the capital, the chapter I was with, was from MI. Of course the news I seen on it was only about it throwing and the small group who didn't move from the middle of the street at the end of the march. But for the march I was with the main group from Ann Arbor that was by the Library of congress. I was holding the American peace flag. The hole thing was incredible
I had to go to a smalle event in the Midwest. But the one in DC definately marked a major turn of the tide in US politics. The impact of it is reverberating all over. I hope those of you who made it to the historic event had an amazing time. We can be sure there will be many more large peace events before this is over...probably some much larger ones when the weather gets better! From the coverage on CSPAN it seemed like the little music they had there was pretty lame though. No doubt, many better musicians would have performed if they had been asked! Heck, I've rounded up more intense musical talent than that for small protest events in Kansas! Doesn't the UFPJ know what a VIBE is???
Wow some of those pictures are really amazing. The whole thing was amazing. I'm so glad I got to go. And I'm so glad so many people traveled to come. The next one is March 17. You all rock for supporting peace!
