http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/8702/che.html I think he was , but I usually just think of him as a revelutionary personality, needed to be fighting the good fight or he wasnt happy.
of course he was. he was also a revolutionist, altho I doubt if he was a Maoist. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&q=che+guavera
depends on who you ask i think...i would like to know about him as well.. well probably more about why he is such an icon. http://www.guardian.co.uk/netnotes/article/0,6729,351469,00.html http://observer.guardian.co.uk/review/story/0,6903,1258340,00.html http://books.guardian.co.uk/extracts/story/0,6761,353589,00.html
You might be right their... from the little i know about both they may be idealised and almost mythical..although robin is not real ... i guess he makes a good archetype.
He's an archetype for idiotic 16 yr. olds who listen to Rage Against the Machine and can't even spell Che Guevara, let alone say who he is or what he did.
He tired to start revolutions in cuba (successfully) and in South America, he died in Bolivia when he was organising a revolution. He was a communist who believed in Marxism and had probably read and studied the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engles. He is an idol to most modern day socialists for the work he did trying to rid countries of Capitalism and the free market ideolgies which have been destroying the planet for some time. On a side note I agree with his general beliefs, I think Communism was a great idea but was never implemented properly. I think modern democratic socialism is the way ahead. The main two things about Communism in the past in Cambodia, Vietnam, Russia and still China, North Korea and Cuba was that it wasn't democratic and I didn't agree with their "Reilgon is poison" stance either. I think Sweden is a fine examples of modern democratic socialism and how well it can work.
No, because most of the adulation of receives is from people who know nothing about him other than being the face on a $20 t-shirt from Spencers.
ok...no problem.. Pressed rat i did not mean it like that..from what he did does ne deserve any adulation at all...ok well i think its upto the person who is looking into his life i suppose. we all see diffrent things...hell i have alanis morisette on my wall...revolutionary HELL YEAH :&
