I'm a lover of House and Dance music, which includes Ambient and Trance, and I find that when I listen to DJ compilations I go into a sort of euphoric state. I sort of get high off the music. It needs to be a quality mix; something progressive and seemless. Some DJ's are better than others at creating musical journeys but I'm very open. The latest buy is Balance 010 by Jimmy Van M; does the trick nicely! :spliff: Cheers, Honza.
Yes i can relate to what you are saying. When a good DJ adds his magic its gets you high. Good progressive DJ's have a special way of taking you on a journey with the sound. One of the things i love about trance is it makes you think about things and reflect.

Ambient has nothing to do with Dance. p.s. I'm not hating, you should just think about what you are saying. on your actual post i'd have to say that most djs are way to boring (Above and Beyond are great, insanely great, but for like 10 minutes, anymore they are just repeating the sound) I saw Oakey way back when he is a great dj. nowadays he's just another commercial pop artist doing whatever will get him a buck. love where Sasha is going. he is breaking the mold in a world where most djs just stick to what they know will work. many props to him for pushing the envelope. oh and of course B.T. he will never really call himself a dj but he puts on a great live show with his laptop.
