It seems like every young girl I see has at least one child.

Why vasectomies and not hysterectomies? The women are the ones that eat up tax dollars by getting on welfare.

Bottom line it's the responsability of both males and females and to make a blanket statement like that is purely asinine. It is an unfortunate situation though and something seriously has to change, something like parents acutally being involved in there children's life would probably be a good start.

Hysterectomies? Oh yes, let's go chop out an organ in someone for no real required reason.

Ok, so you probably mean tubal ligation.
Why are vasectomies generally better? Way less invasive surgery, cheaper, and shorter recovery time.
But I don't think they should be forced on anyone, just that if a couple is considering permanent measures like that, vasectomies are typically a lot less hassle than a tubal ligation

when i was a teenager, people always thought my baby brother and sister were my kids because i took them everywhere. it was the only way i was allowed out of the house and got them out of mom's hair. mom was a little nutty.

The only reason I commented was because that was the way this thread started and the point is that the women are the ones that generally get custody of the children so if anything is going to be forced-which I don't agree with-it should be the women.

If you'd take the time to read my post, which you never do, you would see that I said making a blanket statement like the one that started this thread is asinine-"Bottom line it's the responsability of both males and females and to make a blanket statement like that is purely asinine. It is an unfortunate situation though and something seriously has to change, something like parents acutally being involved in there children's life would probably be a good start."

But you are one of those that choose to see what you want and jump on my post instead of taking the time to read what I wrote in it's entirity. It's obvious that you have issues with me and so be it, but I do have the right to state my opinions just as you have the right to be small minded and see only as much or as little as you want.

    Have a good day.

 I honestly can't remember any other posts of yours I've read, so I don't see how I'd have issues with you, but anyways.

I was simply explaining why vasectomies are, from a medical standpoint, typically better. I never said any surgeries should be forced on people. I didn't address the bit you re-quoted because, well, I agree with it. I do take issue with believing that removing a woman's organ is comparable to the small incision and snipping typically involved with vasectomies, hence that being the point I've addressed.

hehehehehe...don't you love insincere "have a good day" comments and all others like them?

anyway, at least my husband confessed that he was utterly terrified of having a vasectomy and would never ever under any circumstances do it and that my getting a tubal ligation made more sense because i was the stronger, braver one.

Then as men we're holding up our end of the bargin by keeping the human race prosperous and the gene pool ever more diverse (as he straightens up his tie, and walks off with a confident stride) :)

i honestly didn't see many young girls having babies when i was in high school

while perusing posts on here though I am often surprised by the number of people having babies around age 20 though...nothing wrong with it, just a little surprising to me
