couldn't you just talk to him about what you found in a mature way, and ask if he still smokes? then maybe hint you could smoke with each other.

if by some chance they do say that there not paying for your college just because you were mature about it THEN you can tell them about the weed you found, and that its their fault you "tried" it they wont be as upset. But im sure if you kept your mom out of it and confronted your dad it wont be as bad and scary for you. or you can just imagine you never found that box and keep living your life. its your choice how to live your life not ours.

even if your dad realized some was missing, its not like hes going to fret and feel like he got ripped off. When my parents bring home groceries they dont feel gypped when I "steel" an apple or two. Hed obviously know it was you who took it, unless you have siblings. And hed be more distraught about the fact that you smoked weed, not that you stole it from HIS stash.
