ok it was last summer, i was in p cola, me and this kid were riding alround, already very stoned, had a loaded bowel, but forgot bout it, then all of a sudden we see flashers behind us, i took the bowel and dranked it, getting all of it down my throat and threw it behind me . the entire time iam tellin the driver those cops need a warrent to search the car, well he lets em search anyway, they find the bowel on top of a hightimes magizine, and they just asked whos pipe it was, it was quiet for a min, then my friend fessed up and said it was his, then the cop let us go. very close call. very glad i did not go to jail, it was one of those moments when i was like fuckin pinch me, did that just happan
you don't need a warrant to do a search that only detects illegal activities. drug dogs are legal in any situation almost. (they can't bring them inside your property without a warrant/p.c.) And please, don't confuse "bowel" with "Bowl". Drinking the bowel is entirely different from drinking the bowl (and even that i'm not entirely sure what you meant).
actually they don't need a warrant to search anything mobile, and of course this includes your car. Although, they cannot search your car at a reutine traffic stop unless you make 'suspicious movement'. that is, you reach down under your seat, your buddy goes through the glove box, ect ect. while he's still behind you. they do that for the reason of they can only see the back of your head, so they dont know what you're moving around/getting. a gun, hiding something, ect ect. so if you go to toss a bowl, make sure you do it without much movement! a drop and kick under the seat would be fine
if they want to search your car then they'll find a way to do so, if they find something and arrest you, hopefully you'll have enough money to get a good lawyer that will prove it was an unlawful search.
Uh... No. They need consent or "a reasonably articulable factual basis for belief that criminal activity is afoot" "suspicious movement" alone does not comply with that requirement.
Perhaps, but the fact is that if you consent anything they find is admissible evidence. You have nothing to gain by consenting to a search and everything to lose.
u wanna know something scary i was driving with my friends mad stoned in the middle of the day by the beach no cars around all off a sudden 2 cop cars rush in and block the road like 20 feet from us sirens on we where like OHH SHIT HIDE THE TACO BELL AND THE POT!..it turned out they where doing an escort lol
i used to talk to the cop that worked at my high school and he told me straight up that ANYTHING can be suspicious and it doesnt matter bcuz they can tell when someone is nervous by the way they act plus you are bound to look in the mirrors and they see that as "suspicious"
