my very best friend in the world is going through a bad time with this guy she went out on a few dates with. the last time they went out, he didn't call her for more than a week, and so she decided to email him about it, and he basically told her that he was going through a "breakdown", but kind of left it hanging as to where they stood. now, this girl gets very obsessive over guys, and just as she was convincing herself to move on from him, what do I do? I start saying things like "well, he really didn't say he didn't want to date you, maybe there's still a chance?". I'm a horrible friend. the reason I say things like this is because I don't want her to have a boyfriend while I'm single. I can't believe I'm doing this to her, but I can't stop myself.
