new Cabled Touque I knit for a friend....

    ... my husband came home one evening, asking me if I had an extra knit touque around, because a friend at his work was working that day with a hat that was falling apart. I didn't, but I had plenty of extra yarn.

    The pic below is what I ended up making him.... a slightly adjusted cabled hat pattern from my Stitch n Bitch book... I made it black and gray stripes, I don't know if you can tell... not the best picture but you get the idea. It fits really well too, because of the cables and body-ribbing...

    ain't they nifty? a bit nicer than the plain black hat I was going to make originally, I think....

    ;) thanks....

    I'm always needing an excuse to knit leftover yarn, and I've tons of that around my house, so I don't mind knitting bunch of it up into a hat or scarf or whatnot.
