what is an oral dose of opium and the effects? how does it differ from smoking it? what is the easiest/most efficent way of smoking opium? (ive read your supposed to heat it, not burn it?)
never eaten it but i'm assuming you can just roll up a little ball of it and pop it like a pill opium is a slow burning smoke, similar to hashish, so should be treated in a similar way - if you have a pipe dedicated to opium use alone, it would be preferred so other resins will not mingle with it when it burns
yea, im just worried about possibly overdosing cause ive read that its "easier to overdose orally", but i cant find out how much to take orally and the difference btwn oral and smoked effects.
also, it would be great if someone could post a paticular technique for smoking opium as im used to eating tabs, mushrooms, pills and other such things.
Smoking Opium from the plant. You need to bleed a hell of a lot of pods to get enough gum- the gum that you do get will not be as strong as the gum you'll find in Thailand's opium dens- they do some kind of second extraction- not too sure on the process. I've made an opium tea- My friend and I picked a couple of shopping bags full of young opium plants (pods about the size of gumballs)- threw about half a bag (stems, leaves, pods and all) into a large pot and boiled for about 10 minutus. It's difficult for me to give you an accurate measure of dosage but with this methoud I think overdose is unlikely. I drank two full mugs of this tea (it didn't taste very nice) and half an hour later I was moderately stoned. The effects were more than I expected. I think if you boiled just pods, strained the brew and then boiled it all down you could end up with a nice smokable opium residue- haven't tried it yet but there's no reason why is shouldn't work and seems a lot easier than slicing live poppies and waiting a couple of days for them to bleed.
its not from the plant, its black tar. What what ive read it seems of good quality. It smells very strong and very good. Its realllly sticky and its sort of hard. idont think making tea from this would work though, otherwise i definetly would.
Opium should be a black to brown gummy latex-like substance. Are you sure it isn't some low-grade heroin? (black tar heroin) Does it have a vinegar type smell to it?
I'm not doubting your quaility. A tea would probably work if you used maybe lime juice or something to dissolve the tar- but why bother? just smoke it- If I were you I would be smoking it now- instead of thes codeine crystals I just made (they're not to bad though).
yea, its def. not low grade heroin. You can smell it from about 15-20 feet away and it smells wonderful, nothing like vinager. Is it fine to just put it in a bowl and smoke it like you would weed?
it's a resin, just like hash....smoke it like hash, or put a small bit of reefer in the bottom of the bowl first - either way, enjoy!....i'm jealous, lol!
Yes but codeine is so limited in its use and effect...if you're extracting codeine 'crystals', then why not go a stage further ? Good luck either way.
