Well it is the new year and i think we should look back at 2006 and recall all the movies that made us laugh and made us cry and made us think.

Anyways some movies that i enjoyed

    Little Miss Sunshine
this movie was hilarious. It will have you laughing right till the end.

    Stranger Than Fiction
Now this was a superb movie. well written, well cast. i don't think it got enough attention but if you love to read then check out this movie if you have not already.

    Thank You For Smoking
    Great Movie. Great Message.

    Some other honorable mentions

    Casino Royale
good new bond. let's see where he takes us.

    Mission Impossible III
I think this was this year... anyways surprisingly good. didn't want to see it because of cruise's craziness but i am glad i did. Action Packed sums it up.
And you get to see him electricute himself which i had to laugh at.

    Anyways...
    What did you like?

I haven't seen many this year. The second Pirates was great though, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for Smoking was also a great flick. I really enjoyed it, and it was interesting to see from an occasional smoker's (myself) perspective.

Yeah I've got to vote for Little Miss Sunshine and Thank You for Smoking too.
Fast Food Nation was also one to watch, even if it was hard going at times.

and there were some great festival movies (even if they came out elsewhere pre-2006 they came out at the cinema in my city in 06 so i'm counting them, ha! :) ) - Brick, C.R.A.Z.Y., Shortbus, The Host.

I always forget in which year a movie was released, but I haven't seen many new ones anyway, I think. Still want to see Clerks II and Casino Royal. I did saw the new Pirates of the Carribean, but that was a dissapointing movie for me.

I still have to see Pan's Labyrinth, but so far my favorite has to be Children of Men. It was amazing and I really hope it takes Best Picture (in whichever year it qualifies for). It took me a while to get into it, but I haven't gotten so emotional for a movie since Crash.
I loved Casino Royale, Borat, and Thank You for Smoking.

Holy shi- I haven't been to a cinema at all last year :O

EDIT: Ok, after looking through the usual best-movies-of-<insert year here>-and-so-on-list, I'd say Scary Movie 4 (I actually found it to be really funny) or Pirates of the carribean 2: dead mans chest (Not as good as the first one, but I still loved it).

    And I still haven't seen Saw 3 :|

Another good movie from 2006 was The Illusionist. Great plot. great twist at the end. Great actors. Ed Norton is one of my favorites. The only thing was that the accents weren't that great but it wasn't to much of a bother to stop me from enjoying the movie.

well since i only saw 4 movies this year, i will order them.

    1. This would have to be a tie between Deja Vu and Stranger than Fiction. liked them both a lot.

    3. Thank you for Smoking
