    This is absolutely awesome, it shows that with enough work, and the right motivation you really can get off the grid on a normal budget. Les and his family moved several miles from a plowed road, onto 130 acres in the Canadian wilderness. It took two years because they chose to live in a renovated carriage house on the property. This shows a more involved move mainly because of the realities of that climate, but it is definitely doable.

    I love Surviorman!
    I've seen every single episode.=] I'd have to say the Georgia Swamps is my favorite!
    I love how he always whips out his harmonica on almost every show, he is so amazing!

    Yo... I love Les and the thought of living off the land is a wee bit scary but I'll try it once during the summer... I really don't like the city but I need my meds!!
    Lordy the weed I could grow.
