I have no idea where else to post this, so it's going here. some time in the distant future (we have to be financially stable first.) My fiance and I are getting married. My idea of the perfect wedding is a hippie wedding in the woods with pillows and incense, a trampoline, and a live band, etc. He wants a quiet wedding. How can we make a comprimise, and are there any other ideas that could make it more "Hippy-esque"? bearing in mind that it won't be for quite a while. Thanks.
Make little trades. Go barefoot, but not in the woods; somewhere 'quieter'. You could have incense and candles, but have a little trait that he would enjoy. Is he a hippy also? If not, then realize that you might not want a different 'type' of wedding either, like an Elvis wedding lol. If he IS a hippy, but just wants a low key wedding, then just play down the elements you want a little bit. The best advice can give is to talk to him; tell him why those things would make your day special and maybe he will come around. Be sure to listen to his point of view also though. Well, decide what are your bigest wishes for your wedding, and find out what are his. Agree what from thouse wishes are acceptable, and everyone is happy Here is my idea: make the wedding in some floral garden, not many guests because he wants a quet wedding, bouth of you be barefoot, but walk on a path made od leaves of roses, where some hippy dres with flowers in your hair, and for nim, get some hippy shirt, and pants (but stil let them be elegant)
LMAO :lol:NOT gonna happen. if you were going to put a label on him it would be "as nerdy as it gets" He kind of feels akward at big parties, and would feel even more akward being the center of attention(even though he seeks attention constantly.). I think a quiet hippie wedding in the woods would suit both our needs. I also want to add elements from different cultures. like henna hand painting, and a huppa, and different romantic stuff. I guess I am just a hopeless romantic/party animal. arty:
well, a hippie wedding can be very small and quiet. it can be in the woods and have a nice feel to it, while still only inviting a few guests. i think a quaint little hippie wedding in the woods would be perfect for both of you.
Have the wedding in the woods, but without the band. Instead, have a guitar, a flute, some soothing, appropriate instrumental accompanyment.
