Everyone calls me Meg (as opposed to Meghan) and my mom says thats an old lady name. I disagree I have to agree, Dorothy is the best old lady name

My ole granny's name screams old person's name---Bev Isn't it funny how taste in names change over the years? I love some of the older name like: Esther, Ethel, Mabel, and Gertie. Some that make me wince are: Beatrice. Birtha, Florence, Thelma, Blanche, Louise, etc

edgar, ruth, edna, ethel, dolores, dorthea, glaydis those are the first that come to mind although i know a 4year old named edgar..that poor little kid
Margaret and Lori are my grandma's names James and Slim (technically William, not Slim) are my grandpa's names (well, ok Jacqueline was my grandma's name but she died and my gpa remarried to Lori) none too terribly old sounding. Margaret's a little dated but I do know a Margaret who's as old as me. I find it to be a terribly dull name though.

My parent's gave me an old lady name >.< Teresa w/o the H..but even with the H (Theresa) it's still an old ladies name..I've only ever met a handful of T(h)eresa's and they where all older than me..
