Man... I love the V-Dub, but deep down in my heart there still lies this feeling kicking around-- "Why didn't I purchase the Subaru"

And now I kinda feel sorry for the car every time I pass it when I'm in Newport News... I know it will never make it through the Carolinian sand like an Outback or a Forrester will. Though, it was the same price... and had almost the same milage, the VW is two years newer. Only drawback is would you actually want to take a car of that standing onto a salt-laden sandy beach...

And... finding a used VW with TDI/4motion is almost impossible.

    So... I don't know.

    Gasp.

And this my friend, is precisely why I would like to purchase a Subaru Outback with AWD. Perfect size for touring, great gas mileage. tranny will last

Yeah, I almost got an outback... but for what they are, the one I looked at was pretty lacking and I don't feel like having to help pay for that much for something that doesn't have a CD player, not that it's a big deal... but I figured I'd at least get that. It had All wheel drive and such, but the Volkswagen was newer and seems like it's a little better taken care of...

Plus I opened the center console and found about a blunt's worth of shake in it when I test drove it... lmao. :D I thought it was some kinda sign. The Jetta has airbags in every crack and crevice and is pretty much the most comfortable vehicle I've ridden in besides a cadillac or a bigass truck.

Plus... gasp.. sun roof... head sticking outage.

:D A few friends of mine have had some fun with the large sunroof and whatnot, you know. I can't stand that... when you're at a redlight and someone (who is of lesser sobriety than you) is popping bodyparts and yelling shit out of your car/sunroof.

but drum brakes arent. Just seems like most people I know who have had a jeep have had a lot of work done to it. unless its one of the older ones. Those seem to be like tanks...only thing is tanks arent fuel efficient

Too much gas... and the four cylinders are weak. 4.0 high output is the way to go, but I've never really followed Mopar until Daimler bought the company.

I almost bought a '67 Chrysler Newport... believe it had suicide doors.
