I know they are REALLY expensive, but are they really good quality? I hear they press down each leaf in the batches of plain leaf so that they are completely straight. He can also test for salvinorin content which accurately measures the potency. As well as supporting Daniel Siebert, who is coming out with a book in mid-07 and has contributed a lot to salvia research and keeping its legal status, legal.

Anyone have any experiences with purchasing from the SageWisdom Shop?

I'm mostly interested about his products in terms of quality.

I began with siebert's website. He appeared to be THE guru in the salvia world. I learned quite a bit from reading thru the website, and other sellers even refer you to his website for info, or tout their product in terms of its strength as tested by siebert. I ordered a bottle of the tincture he sells, than two days later 2 of the 25 mg capsules he sells of enhanced leaf (extra strength). In two days the 25mg capsules showed up, and most definitely had a strong effect on my first experience.

The tincture did not show, and there were no responses to 3 emails I sent on the subject, sufficient that I got good and mad about it. He has since been in contact, having apparently just returned from a trip, and has reshipped the tincture.

The capsules of extra strength salvia looked exactly like the picture next to the penny on his website, like chips of dark green dried leaf. It burned better than salviazone.com "red" which I got from a local headshop and looks like a black powder. Sieberts salvia burned away to a white fluffy ash. Salviazone powder (which also had a strong effect) appears to partially penetrate the glass screen on my waterpipe, and leaves a sort of dark mess. Though it is radically expensive, I plan on giving Sieberts stuff another whirl (or taste test) now that Im gaining some experience.

More importantly, I have specifically asked Siebert why his products are so radically more expensive than all other producers who seem to put up 15-20x products at about 25-32 dollars a gram.

Ill let you know what he says.

sorry, Yes. I believe that the two 25 mg capsules I smoked were stronger than salviazone. Salviazone.com's stuff took me to level four and five. But I had a half a gram of it available to draw on. Siebert's 50 mg alone took me to amnesia.

But the effect, that is, dropping off the edge of the earth, was reached with both...

sieberts tincture arrived. did 3 eyedrops full. right now. really fucked up, kind of unpleasant, cant get away from it. clay world keeps closing around me, takes powerful concentration to stay out of world. bright color clay world very close too you , with little rainbow curves in groups over and over composing world, like miniature curling florescent spectral tubes like four prismatic spectral commas nested, or nestling into and ontop of each other lighting fake world where sound and feeling meld together like melting paint. I can phase from one world to the next and forget salvia world each time completely when come out. listening to music now. going to go look at salvia inspired art now. really fucked up, dont do this, cant get taste out of your mouth ever

I heard sieberts tincture was REALLY powerful.

    Did you dilute it?

Anyone know anything about his plain leaf?

Nope. Didnt dilute it. Had heard people saying they had tried the tincture and it had not worked, so I was looking for greater concentration, 3.5 dropperfulls. Also, when you dilute the tincture, you consume the bottle faster, so its less cost effective.

However. (big however). Undiluted, the stuff stings and burns sharply and tastes like a shot of wheat grass juice, namely, nasty. This combination of burning sublingual tissues and nasty taste are sensations which salvia bends into lengthening toffee playdough aspects of the trip, never ending twisting turning tendrils; with salvia apparently, any of the senses predominant at the time of ingestion expand into the geography of the experience. And let me tell you, it is not pleasant.

They say to hold the tincture in your mouth for 15 minutes. It begins to burn right from the beginning. I was getting strong effects less than 8 minutes from ingestion and it was nightmarish because of the burning and nasty taste (although admittedly I wasnt in the best of moods). Same effects as smoking, but really tainted, and evilly bent; I just entered a repeating world of pain and bad taste that pervaded and echoed and multiplied. At 15 minutes I spit it out and was realllllly t-ripping. I spent the entire rest of the trip spitting and washing my tongue and trying to drink sweet things (coke, maple syrup, milk) to change the trip midstream (no effect). Having my attention split like this really contributed to it being a bad trip.

Eventually I curled up in a miserable little ball on the couch (not feeling very well) and found that I could survive it all by humming piteously a disjointed pathetic continuous unknown tune, which was like finding shade on a really hot day. It helped allay the pain of it all.

So anyway, note to self: dilute the tincture. add something tasty too it. make double sure that I have had a good mellow day, and am calm and happy. Start with the smallest dose next time. And quit posting every damn little nuance of every damn trip I take on salvia.

ps. Effects of the tincture lasts much longer than smoking. A bad trip smoking and your back on the ground in 5 minutes. Bad trip with tincture=long haul=hell.

Gotta go shave my tongue now...
