best festivals for this summer

what are some festivals people are looking forward to this summer??

at the top of my list are Allgood, July 13-15 in WV and gathering of the vibes, Aug 9-12th in CT ...
but unfortunately I might not be around for either of them..

Anyone know any good festivals happening in the begining half of the summer like may or june??

 

The Beale Street Music Festival is one of the best ones out there, it happens in early May, in Memphis Tennessee

In August in Michigan one of the best kept secrets of the music festival world, in Empire, Michigan, the DuneGrass Blues and Music Festival is F*ing amazing

 

I hope to attend plenty of barter faires, and hopefully Seattle Hempfest in August. I want to see SCI this summer as well... not sure how I'm gonna make it to all the festivals I want to hit, since I'll be using up my vacation time to go to Spain this spring with my family. 2 weeks of vacation just isn't enough. Maybe it's time to quit my job, lol....

early june (7-10) is Wakarusa in Lawrence, Kansas. Excellent lineup so far (Raq, Pnuma, Lotus, Everyone Orchestra, Widespread, Franti, MMW, OZRIC TENTACLES, Bassnectar, i dunno if you like any of them but theres some more bigger names at the fest as well such as Yonder Mountain, Ben Harper, North Mississippi Allstars, Perpetual Groove, New Monsoon, ALO, Tea Leaf Green, plus more to be announced! tic are 120 bucks right now...like i said, excellent lineup thus far. You wont find much better than that.

 

10,000 Lakes Festival is at the top of my list.. followed by Feel Good Festival.. FatFest... Harvest Fest... Boats And Bluegrass

ive heard austin tx is nice...
im looking around for somewhere to go stay till the it heats up and i can move north
(too cold now man)

Anyone know if reggae on the river is any good? It's in humboldt county I believe (green city of the west =] but I hear its become a bit more commercialized however I was wondering if it's still worth it?

And is anyone going to burningman this year?

Come to Gaian Mind. It happens at the end of June. It's a psytrance music festival that is located on a Pagan commune. There are workshops and really nice things to do. It goes for 4 days. It's in south central PA. It costs about $80, but that includes your food. They have veggie/vegan/meat options. The food is amazing! Right after this I'll be going to the National Rainbow Gathering. This summer will be great!
