i was at a session one time, and we had the opportunity to use one of these, but we couldnt figure out how to hook it up. it only has an input, and no output...and we even hooked up the rhodes to an amp knowing that it wouldnt work, and of course it didnt. how can you use an instrument that only has an output :uhoh2:

A friend use to have one, I'm sure the one he had an 1/4in output jack, cause he plugged it into an amp. Sorry, don't know much more about them.

Well, here's a picture of one all hooked up.

It looks like there's an output in the front. But... maybe this is a stupid question, but why would you need an INput on this thing? I can't see any reason to send audio into it. (o_O)

Same way you use a Rhodes Scholar -- give it what it needs to do what you want.

thats what i was thinking! its not like your plugging a guitar into this thing. it should be an OUTput, but it even says on the rhodes that its an input.

on the one we were using, it wasnt on a stand and didnt have a footpedal.

it could just be that the rhodes was just not working...but im still confused on why it would be an input and not an output...

"The actual sounded note is, just like on an electric guitar, produced to be picked up by an electric-guitar-style magnetic pickup. The pickups' output is fed to an amplifier which can be adjusted to produce the desired volume"

ok, so there is an output, but the site doesnt say where. and in the picture the 1/4" connection on the front says input.

    awww, whateva.
