Hey people. I'm from the Caribbean and I'm wondering how many of you like Caribbean/New World music and what do you like about it?
And what do you think about the artists of Caribbean descent who are on the international stage..like Rihanna and Beenie Man and Sean Paul and Shaggy and Busta Rhymes, Daddy Yankee, Wyclef, Don Omar, etc???

Do you think the artistes are too stereotypical? do you think they lose their Caribbean flavour when they make it on the International Market??? Give me your views people.
I really want to hear what you think.

I like the tradidtional music sound I don't like the fusion of modern or hip hop.

Does Caribbean music have anything to offer? I mean what is it really doing? Just drumming up tourists or what?

Caribbean music does have a lot to offer,, especially the underground stuff,, or the old school stuff, all you have to do is listen to the lyrics.
