Anthem is a very good book, its by Ayn Rand (spelling?)...its about the future and how they destroy everything from the past (theres no technology, electricity or anything). People can only talk using the word "We" and "Our," they cannot refer to themselves as "I" because they haev to do everything for there "brothers." Anyways, a man discovers electricity and doesnt tell anyone, which is against the laws, and he tries to tell Scholars and they sentecne him to death, so he runs away and a woman follows him, they end up living in the forest in a house they found from before everything was destroyed, they fall in love (which was also against the law), and have a son, its really good. I bought the edition where it has a copy of the book in the back and all the edits Rand made before getting it published in America (it was originally published in Britain.
I've actually heard that Ann Rand [yeah, I know the spelling is something similar to that] isn't very good. There are a billion scholarships offered to students who read her books like Atlas Shrugged. I think that's a bit conceited, personally, because there are so many great books out there and it seems like fishing for compliments but. Whatever... it's always nice to have money. Glad you liked it. I heard she's overrated but... Idk. Never read it. Maybe I will and I'll let you know.
yeah, to be honest, i really dont know anything about the author or anything, i just thought it was a good book, i got pretty in to it, but of course there are LOTS of definitions of the word "good" when it comes down to things like books and movies, etc. : )
