i dont really know what to say or how to explain how i've been feeling except depressed.
lately for maybe like the past 2 weeks i've just been really depressed and i dont know why. like last night it was bad i just felt so sad and today i did also. i haven't really talked to anyone about it. i haven't really felt like talking or doing anything just sit at home and read stuff and watch tv if i'm not working.
i feel like something is different in my life somehow. i feel like something is missing.
i know last night i was sad b/c i felt like no one cared, none of my friends called me , we were supposed to do something but she didn't answer her phone when i called.
seems so retarded but it really mad me feel more sad.
i dont even know why i've been so depressed. anyways. sorry for the boring post i just wanted to say what was on my mind.
how do people get over depression? how do they find out why they are sad?
is it normal to just be sad sometimes and not know why?

i used to be depressed my freshman year, and have had several episodes of it since, they can last from 2 weeks to months at a time. I know exactly how you feel, my boyfriend knows about me and everything and loves me, but i still feel like he doesnt care at times..you could be depressed, sometimes its normal to be sad at times, but with depression, other things go along with it (short temper, changing in eating/sleeping/sex drive habits, withdrawal from everyone, etc.) I'd say wait another week or two, maybe try seeing a therapist, i love talking to mine when im really upset

I'm sorry to hear this. It's a shitty feeling though I think even non-clinically diagnosed people go through it periodically when things go badly or aren't so smooth... sometimes for no reason at all. I haven't been feeling too great tonight either. Just drained, and filled with a sadness I can't describe - which is pretty rare for me.

    Cheers, mate.

Depression is a big bummer. I've known many people to suffer from it, in varying degrees. To the original poster, I would say that you should begin now to look deeply for the roots of your depression. It's good that you're recognizing it, because it's never good to let this kind of thing sneak up on you. Sometimes you can start to feel a little crappy, and before you know it you're having trouble getting out of bed. Think about what makes you happy, and what you want out of life... what do you believe in? Do you love yourself? If not, why not? Are you surrounding yourself with loving people who make you happy and comfortable? Depression is a horrible feeling, but it can also be a blessing in disguise in that it provides a great opportunity for self improvement. Please PM me if you want to talk about this kind of thing on AIM or something, or if you just want someone to talk to.
