Just when I feel I'm ready. I haven't even kept track of dates, except the occasional post up here. I pretty much just wait until I feel they're all healed up, when I can turn them and tug on them, take out the plugs I'm wearing and clean them thoroughly, etc. without feeling any stinging or pain. I must admit, I realllly enjoy the sensation of stretching! Oh, and I just realized I made a mistake in that last post. I'm up to a 6 now, and on my way out to my glass studio to make some 4 and 2 g. plugs. I've been experimenting up till now, playing around and just making them for myself, but I just finally bought a tool I needed, so I'll be able to more accurately gauge the sizes.
That's so cool that you are making them yourself! I just was able to get my 12g in again. It's hard to tell exactly what size with enlarging crescents too. I love the feeling too. I feel like I'm accomplishing something. LOL
Woooo! I'm officially up to a 4g. Spent a good chunk of yesterday making 4 and 2g plugs. Got a cute little creamy blue pair in now. I know what you mean about not really knowing the size - that's why I was confused the other day, because 'til now I haven't been able to exactly measure my glass plugs, so I just made a few pair that were *roughly* what I wanted and eyeballed the smallest-->largest of them. The last couple weeks I've switched up a few times and the steps were so gradual I barely even noticed going from an 8 to a 6. Funny - right now my ears have that lovely pinchy-tingly feeling in them, from having just stretched them a few minutes ago. Gives me flashbacks to when I first got them pierced when I was a kid, I'd forgotten how much I liked it then too! My mom let me get my lobes pierced (with a gun:cuss: ) when I was 10 and she thought I was some kind of weirdo because not only did I NOT think it hurt, but I thought it felt good!
lol...I HATED getting my ears pierced. I got mine done with a gun when I was 6. My mom took me to walmart. I loved the way they looked but I remember looking a the mirror thinking I was going to die. My face was beet red! It hurt like the devil. But I guess I like pain to some degree ( with piercings anyway) because I've had my labret pierced 2 times and a monroe, all of which i took out within 2 months of having them done. I'm scared to go back to the only piercing studio now because I ALWAYS take my piercings out.
sure, just not ears... i got a prince albert at 8ga in september.. went to 4mm about a month back and will go to 5mm most likely tomorrow. its quite accepting... guess theres a lot of friction on it.. other than that for stretching.. hasnt been much lately.. took helixes and lips to 12ga and then 10ga but that was a while back now.. may take em bigger in the future.. had inner conchs punched to 3.5mm and tapered straight away to 4mm..
In the process? Almost! Haha. I used to have my ears at 7/8" and planned on stretching to an inch... and then I lost my jewelry. So I just left it out, and they're back down to about 1/2" now and not getting any smaller. My husband said he liked them at 1/2" and preferred that I wouldn't stretch them any more again, so I agreed because it isn't a huge deal to me... stretching is just something to do between piercings, haha. But lately I've been wanting to stretch them back up, to about 3/4" (smaller than before, but I liked them there) and I asked him if he would mind - he said he doesn't really care. I guess when we first met, he wasn't THAT into piercings and stuff, but my friends and I have 'broken him in' and now that he's stretched his ears, he doesn't say much about mine, hehe. So I'm hoping to start stretching them again, but I'm definitely only going to 3/4". I love bigger stretched ears, but I just don't think it's what I want any more. The last time (before I lost my plugs) that I could remember them being incredibly comfy was at 3/4"... once they were bigger, they were in the way more, uncomfortable to sleep on, etc. And speaking of the stretched Prince Albert, does anybody else have other piercings that are stretched? (Figured I might as well keep this all in one thread, since the initial questions of the thread have been answered... hope you guys don't mind.) I had my outer conch (cartilage) stretched to 1/2" at one point (originally done at 16ga.) but I also lost the jewelry, the same time I lost the 7/8" plugs (swimming in the river with no o-rings or anything to hold them in). It's back down to about 2ga. now, and doesn't seem to be getting any smaller. I've stretched my septum up to 10mm. (did it myself at 6ga) and it's currently VERY comfy at 00ga. but I can still fit a 10-11mm. plug in it. My navel is stretched to 2ga. (the top one - the sides and bottom are 14ga. and I'm not stretching them, to leave room for two more piercings in there). I guess once I get used to the piercing being there, I just feel the need to step it up a bit, as long as it's a comfy place to stretch. With my septum, I knew I wanted it at a big gauge before I even pierced it.
Wow, everyone here is stretch-crazy! I don't think I'll stretch anything besides my ears. (Then again, I don't have any current plans to pierce anything else, either!) Just stretched to a 2 a few minutes ago, and I like 'em here. I'll probably still end up going up to a 0, but first I want to let these heal up and play around with all the different style plugs I've been making. Quality testing is an important step before I take what I've got in to shops to show them. And that's what I need to do in order to finagle myself some ink. God I'm itchin' for that ink!
mines a 5mm now i went up from a regular piercing to a 3mm then to a 4mm but the 4 went in so easy that the day later i thought fuck it and put a 5mm in so woo im gonna go up to a 6 in a couple weeks cos ive noticed im quite a fast healer cant wait till i hit my target of a 10 now im just waitin to pierce my other ear and start stretchin dont think the parents like it tho :/
i went from a a 14 to a zero in the matter of a few months.....i am addicted now for sure i just love the awsome plugs out there and it means more to me than a normal post earring for some reason..... but i jsut go up a tiny bit every few days...... i have a cheat..... i wrap one more round of electrical tape around my plug each time i stretch em, that way its a slow change without the bleeding, swelling, or blow out that is often encouting when you gauge your ears...... in the beginning my goal was a zero but i cant stop now.... im in bat country!
I just (yesterday) "stretched" my nipple piercings to 10ga. I figured they'd be comfier there (I'm way more comfortable with bigger gauges) so I'm just keeping them at 10. I originally pierced them at 12ga. so it wasn't much of a stretch, they're pretty comfy and happy now.
I went from an 20g to a 10g. And I skipped 8 and went straight to 6 yesterday. Im not going to skip sizes any more though, cause I dont want to mess my ears up. Ive been hidding them from my mom. Cause last time she found out she threw them out the window on the free way. But she saw them today and she was like okay with it. So I think im gunna go to a 0 until the end of high school. Then after that. I dont know. Haha
I've taken my stretchers out. I'm back down to 20g. I feel like it's something I had to do for personal reasons. Either way, best of luck to everyone else stretching. Please, never ever take for granted the ability to be yourself.
That's too bad, EarthyGirl. I'm definitely glad that nobody can hinder that ability I have for being myself. Even if I did go out and get a dayjob some day for some reason, my (almost!) six year-old dreads would provide ample distraction from any holes or tats they might not like.
6mm now and i put a steel flesh tunnel in i think im gonna keep it this size for about a month or so now then il go up to an 8 = )
I am too impatient...I want to get to a 0g right now. I bought the taper and this cute red star plug to put in once I get them stretched to 0g. I'm at 6g now, after doing it for four weeks. The only trouble I ran into was in the second week. I put a wood taper/plug in that would bring me to a 4 g slowly, but my fiance thinks that the wood reacted poorly with my skin and caused a slight infection. Once I removed it and went back to metal/glass my ears healed up nicely. They are so compliant that they are ready to go for another stretch in about a day (seriously, I went from an 8g to the 6g two days ago - and now it's healed enough that I can switch from the creseant to a plug to this cool tribal thing that I have in now. Just a little junk, but my ear always did that. I can even sleep the night of the stretching too - I guess I am pretty pliant. My question is, what size do you think it would be safe to go up to that will allow the ear to close up to at least a 14g (should I want to go back down)? I am thinking 0g is where I want to stop, so would I have anything to worry about (huge holes)? Sorry, even though I am doing this...I am extremely naieve over some things. Thanks, and happy stretching!
I just started streching mine at a 14g. I need to go get some 12g's. I really only want to get up to 8, maybe 6. The only problem I have is that I like to mess with them and they started to bleed a couple days ago. Pretty funny.
Mad- I have the same problem whenever I do something new. I started playing with my plugs and I think that's part of the reason why they got infected. Which caused me to play with them even more. I figured if I wasn't going to stop, I might as well do a bit of good. So I would soak my ears in a warm saltwater bath to help draw out infection (or blood in your case). Then sterilize the plugs (I know I am going to get yelled at for suggesting this...but it worked for me), and make sure your hands are clean. Play away! Just don't hurt yourself in the process.
its more than likely just lymph secretion not just blood. it happens depending on the type of material your plugs are made out of.
