Hippy or hippie?

Is it spelt hippy or hippie?

Not that it matters... just thought I'd ask

 

in dictionaries its spelled hippie but i use them both

 

In my personal opinion, it's hippie.
I like spelling words with 'ie' instead of 'y'.
But Chuck, I love your new signature pic.

 

i think it looks funny ending in a y.. actually when i see it that way i get a little frustrated. i'm not sure why.

 

i spell it both ways depending on what blurts out .. hippie looks better and is probably the right spelling though

 

it all means the same in the end when you look at it
they all look at us the same wether its hippy or hippie
