I like my steak medium rare, there is nothing like a T-bone or a Porter house. Steak is my favorite meat. Im sick of pork and chicken, YUK!

if I get a steak, it has to be medium rare, anything cooked over that temperature is killing the flavour of that steak.......

and besides, you are talking to a talented meatcutter/grill cook.......

If you live in the southwest doesn't The Big Texan Steak Ranch still offers a free 72oz Steak (4 1/2 lbs) if you can eat it (with all the trimings) in under 1 hour.

I saw it on cable a few months back [IMG]

we have this awesome organic beef rancher out here who sells the aboslutely most wonderful steaks i've ever had. they're a little pricey, though. but their ribeyes are UNREAL. dave's amazing at grilling a steak, too.

when i was heavy into weightlifting, on leg day my mom would cook me a 16 oz porterhouse. i'd come home, eat it practically raw and promptly pass out. i thought THAT was an unreasonably huge hunk of meat. 72 oz, i don't even know how that's possible.

ribeyes are the best cut of steak out there........

I know everyone says the filet is the best, but I just love the ribeye....... and of course prime rib is good too, but that comes from the ribeye, of course :p

most of the prime rib i've ever had verged on gross, it was so greasy. i haven't found anyone to do it right yet. but a rib eye, WOW, that's some good meat. in fact, in celebration of an exhibitionist moving in the apartment across from dave's office, i'm going to tell him to bring a couple ribeyes home.

something wrong with how people out here cook it, then, because it just comes out nasty. i can't remember the number of times people would exclaim "we're having prime rib! isn't that wonderful?" and every time, i'd be disappointed with the gut bomb i had to choke down.

On the cable show I was watching, this old guy (who weighed no more than 130 lbs) devoured the entire 72 oz steak with potato and gravy and some greens [IMG]

When he lifted his shirt, his stomach looked like a snakes just after feeding :leaving:
