I'd aim for Sallie... i was there last year.. and it was fuckin great.. we were up on the hill... it was quite the hike... but oh well... when you were fucked up it wasnt that bad... as for my ticket... im buying my camping pass.. and then gonna work on getting in for free again... i personally knew like a 1/4 of the bands that played their last year... and was offered a spot on a guest list.. but i won free tix.. so that wasnt needed... so hopefully i can get in touch with someone i know thats gonna be playing there and get in for free again.. or win free tix again... great thing about living in the area.. theres tons of chances to win free tix

I went last year. Northwoods... such a beautiful fucking festival... Last year I worked as trash clean-up and I hope to do so again this year. Free tickets, get paid, good karma, awesome music, beautiful country-side... It was a trip fa shure.

 

hey corduroy do you know how to volunteer like that? If i could get free tickets and get paid out there i am there but money is my main reason i cannot go, but if i pick up trash for some of the time i would love to do it.

Thats funny you say that bc i met a guy last year at wakarusa that was tellin me how he volunteered every year and was tellin me all the bad ass shit he finds in the wee hours of the morning (like 5-9 am) from the night before. You dont even need to volunteer really. You just gotta beat em to the spot lol. You can find some sweet stuff man! My bro found an inside out glass bubb that could have easily been sold new for 150+ and i found a glass spoon that was probly 15-25 dollars worth lol. Oh well, i get to hold on to the bubb

Unforunately, we were in a little sedan with four people and all our gear, so I left the grill.

If one were so inclined, however I believe you could bring a truck and score big-time. You could sell that shit, or just have yourself some new, free stuff.

Either way, you're very welcome. It's cool that you want to pick up garbage to. Not everyone can tolerate it, but it's a great deed. Whenever I was picking up garbage or changing bags people would says "Thanks" or "You're Awesome". Those people made it worth so much more. So here's a big thanks to all you awesome people who kept me working.

 

You all are making me homesick. I grew up in that neck of the woods. East of Detroit Lakes. Never went to a music fest there (not even "WE-Fest"). Maybe some day......

 

fuck WE-fest... let them inbred corn fuckers have it... i absolutely frown apon that festival... but the good side of it is it makes 10,000 lakes festival look like church camp for the owners of Soo Pass Ranch.. last year there were somewhere around 23 reported rapes... tons of campers/tents/portojons started on fire.. i hope WE-fest gets shut down... i know this because i am friends with the guys that run the General Store for both 10k and WE-fest.. they order all the 10k/WE-fest merch and shit thats sold at the general store.. and said they probably will never do WE-fest again
