I saw in the news in Europe are going to start putting Obesity Warning labels on clothes with a hotline phone number (dont know what sizes, but im guessing is plus sizes.. 1X 2X..or 15, 17, 18). They are also going to implement other meassures like build roads only if they have a bicycle lane, and others. In Spain, last fashion week.. they banned models with an BMI less than 17, I think it was. I think is a good idea. I am a former model and my BMI is below 17. I dont have an eating disorder, I eat like a pig.. and I am a mom too. Some ppl from the fashion industry complained that some models are naturally skinny and they would be discriminating against skinny girls. I think that Bullshit.. first of all they had been discriminating for countless years against full figured people. Some of them don't even include big sizes in their collections. Second.. after seeing all this pro-anorexia and bulimia sites with "Thinspiration" pictures of confessed girls with Eating Disorders (example mary kate olsen) as role models .. is time to change the perception of beauty in the minds of impressive young girls. Now models instead of starving to get a job... would EAT to get the job!! Much better! And about the obesity labels in clothes... It depends what sizes... everyone is diferent... while a 6 feet tall girl can be a size 10 and be completly healthy.. is not the same for a 5 feet tall girl. But, plus sizes.. there no woman 8 feet tall woman to be excuse a plus size. So i do think is a good idea... Yeah cigarettes have the warning labels too. But that really small percent that actually picked up the phone and called, and quit smoking, makes it worth it. we have labels in alcohol, cigarettes.. you can't put the label on the food (but big mac's should have it, that way fat ppl would stop suing mc donnalds) because you can not track how much that person is going to eat from it.. is ridiculous.. the only way to know if you are morbidly obesce is by the size of your pants!!! (you cant put a label in a size 0, because full figured tweens use those jeans) some ppl say that the label is unecessary and that someone who is fat already knows it. The point is not telling him he is obese, that would be like telling someone he/she has a pimple in the middle of his nose, he already knows!! The point is, many ppl who are obese looks at it like"oh well.. everyone has different shapes and sizes" we have become so custom to it, we dont realize it is a problem. Specially when so many ppl benefit from it... The weight loss industry makes MORE $$$ than the PORN industry!!! That should be stopped!! Look how used to it we are that we think movie theater and airplane seats are too small. When ppl try to loose weight by doing a healthy diet, they think the portions are too small or the food is too bland.. NO IS NOT.. THATS HOW YOU ARE SUPPOUSED TO EAT! . IT BOTHERS ME WHEN PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING THAT IS ACUTALLY GOOD FOR YOU. THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEND IS THAT PPL DONT CARE! WHY DO PPL DONT COMPLAIN WHEN MCDONNALDS BROUGHT BACK THE MC RIB??? OR WHEN YOU WERE ABLE TO SUPERSIZE YOUR ORDER TO GODZILLA'S APPETITE!? I AM SORRY IF I OFFEND ANYONE.. THATS NOT MY PURPOSE
