I used to live in the Castle Rock area almost ten years ago. I've heard that a lot of cities have grown a lot. I was wondering if the mountains have been ruined yet.

The two reasons I would move back are to be with family and to be close to the mountains.

Douglas County's growth is slowing...the boom is in Weld County now.
    Highlands Ranch is 89K!
I don't know the numbers on Castle Rock but there is no separation between CR and the metro anymore. it's Castle Pines and then Lone Tree and then Centennil/Littleton.
Lots of growth going east, although when I lived in Strasburg, it was what, one or two thousand people?
The mountains still get the odd house on the ridge, several counties are getting smart about that and not allowing a house to be on the highest points.
Lots of eenewable energy happeing. Even the big companies have to buy / generate it.

Thanks for the info. I have a life here in Wisconsin, but I'm sure my family wouldn't complain if I moved back to Colorado. My mom asked me a few times about it, but I haven't made any definite plans.
