Do you cry during movies? I think I shed some tears during most every movie I watch. I cry for the characters sorrows, their joys, their frustrations, and their hopes and dreams. I think that maybe I empathize a bit too much. I have noticed this isn't so with everyone, and sometimes am a little embarrassed when I need to get out the tissue, and wipe the tears flowing down my face, before my clothes get wet.

This probably means that I am a highly sensitive person, and is this a postive or negative attribute? Does it make it more difficult to live in the world ??

I am curious if others react this way to cinematic stimulation?
Are you the same in " Real Life" ?
Do you wish you were different, and better able to control your emotions?
Are you proud and happy that you can identify with others so completely?
What do you think makes some people cry, and some people just wonder why ??

    I'm the same!
I've never been very sensitive until about 2-3 months ago when i started crying at some comedy drama on tv! No idea why that suddenly happened.

    I think it's a pretty positive attribute.
I'd rather be highly sensitive than not be able to feel much emotion at all.

It really depends on my mood to begin with. After I first learned I was pregnant with my first baby I cried hysterically during Steel Magnolias. I have found that I am more emotional as I get older.

I am like you when it comes to movie, something can hit me in just a certain way and I will have to reach up and wipe a tear away and I alway hop no one has seen me crying.

I come extremely close to all-out crying in a lot of movies...rent makes my eyes water every single time, every time in requiem for a dream where the old women hug on the bench i have to hold tears back, i at the very least FEEL like crying during the ending two songs in hedwig and the angry inch...and i would not trade it for anything. i am, in all things real or cinematic, a highly sensitive person and don't really care if it causes me more emotional pain than others might feel, it's something im proud of.

I'll cry if an animal gets hurt in a movie, etc. If something happens to a human though I won't. =3 It's not that I have anything against people, it just doesn't make me cry.

    Some international movies do.

Most American movies seem to mispresent basic human emotions.

Since I was little I was always emotional with movies.

When I was like 4 or something, I watched Wizard of Oz, and at the end where dorthy gets to go home and she says by to all her friends made me cry! My mom said like hours afterwards, I would be playing, then start crying and my mom would ask me what was wrong and I would tell her I was crying about the Wizard of Oz hahaha

I always cry when I watch Fried Green Tomatoes... it's such a sad movie!

Pretty much at some point during any given movie. Does not matter the quality of them film, or if I'm really watching or enjoying it, can still usually get a tear or two at me at some point.

I don't think it a bad thing really. Embarrassing at times perhaps when it's like a really bad movie and I'm not really that touched or emotionally involved but they show a frame of an overly sad or happy person and it just gets me...
