scorpio's bad rep

Well obviously if your Sun-sign is Scorpio you CAN'T be nice. Just kidding.

Never apologize for any of your signs.

In traditional astrology there are two malific planets - Mars and Saturn. These two planets wreck havoc. But, at the same time, they are in every person's chart. So, every person has some crappy stuff going on.

Sun-signs don't really tell you much by themselves. This is why all the studies that have been done trying to show someone's occupation versus their Sun sign have failed.

There are only 12 signs. If you put too much emphasis on Sun-Sign, then you are basically saying there are only 12 kinds of people in the world.

Of course this isn't true. When I do a chart, to find someone's character, I do the following:

Figure out what element rules your chart. This gives me a basic framework. Sometimes I can even find likely health problems from this.
Find out if most signs are cardinal, fixed, or mutable. This gives me a little more.
Look at what sign rules your ascendant
Find out the behaviour of the planet ruling that sign. Is it strong or weak? Direct or retrograde? What are its aspects? What house is it in? Is it in an angular, succedant, or cadent house? Where is the Part of Fortune? Is the planet rising in its own sect?

I take all of this information and from this I can get a good picture. I don't even look at the Sun unless the ascendant is ruled by Leo, or if the answer to the question I have somehow involves the Sun or if the Sun is aspecting the ruling planet.

So just because your Sun is a Scorpio isn't a big deal. If someone makes you think something is wrong with you because of the day you are born, then run the other way.

 

i'm pisces and one of the great loves of my life was scorpio and I have a scorpio moon, so I really think scorpios are terrific!

don't get too worried about being scorpio. they have great attributes.

 

That's my point though. all of the signs are good and bad. Approximately 1/12th of the world's population is a Scorpio.

The result of this kind of talk has made poor Subgoin a nervous wreck and he cries at night wondering why people don't like Aries!

personally ive never had a go at any books on astrology. i analyze people all the time and observe and compare and make conclusions, i weigh relationships and my experience of people and the things they bring into my life up against other people of the same star sign....

and ive found that there does seem to be a certain 'rule of thumb' as in never absolute but usually present element pattern to these experiences...

though i guess i should read a book so i could delve deeper and find out why other than just a sun sign....
i do read the tarot sometimes tho...

But how would you weigh what ive just said up to how you do it?
it'd be interesting to hear that...

.... actually, technically, less than 1/12 of the world would be those scorpios, as scorpio is the smallest constellation that the sun actually travels through, but then we are talking about ptolemy's version of the zodiac and not the true solar elliptical and the 13 constellations ...

i have two older sisters who are both scorpios ... despite them, i've actually known a couple of scorpios to be quite decent human beings!

In my experience with scorpios, they're drama queens. It's not a bad thing 90% of a time, but sometimes it gets old.

I'm a cancerian though, and they're just completely weird people.

I think of all signs we're the sign that is the most mysterious and I think we're all very aware of that at one point or another. As a Scorpio I've found that I have to really watch my body language more than other people might, because I tend to really give off a general coldness unintentionally.
I've also found that when it comes down to it, even if I don't have sex a lot, it's something that really does rule a lot of the choices I make, despite me not always being mindful of it.
I also think it's important to note that a lot of the social drama associated with Scorpio's is linked to trust. If a Scorpio let's someone in to their world and they feel a breach of trust or loyalty to them, it's instant chaos. Scorpio's are actually very deeply sensitive beyond even their own grasp, which I think has a lot to do with their bad rep, because a lot of other signs can forgive or forget, but the Scorpio holds on a little longer.

 

Scorpios are the best , plain and simple , we can not help it if your something less. And NO my name isnt Beaszlebob !

 

Yes there are 12 signs , 12 houses , a million different probabilites , Your rising sign ,the sign that changes every 4 minutes that was risisng at the time of your birth is who u r , it colors what you look like , physical stature , etc. Your sun is what you project , Your moon is , private the anima , what only those closest to you know . Mars may be malific but it brings me a stronger drive and ambition with its aspects , espescially through the conjunctions with jupiter and pluto . Saturn is like an annyoing old man that keeps giving you the same lessons over and over and over again till you get it right as with trnsits and progressions. And once again Scorpios rule!!!!!

Well I am a scorpio with scorpio rising and eight houses in some planets...but I am so not like a typical scorpio...I mean I am passionate and intense...but many people who are not scorpios can be that too. I am outgoing, silly, kind of shy, maybe its my moon in acquarius but when one looks at me they usually say how nice and 'sweet' I appear and I love to crack jokes with people...lol. btw i am not the jealous type and possessive like most water signs, especially dear scorpios ;-)
