Because it won't let me post in my giving blood thread

I have copied and pasted what I tried to post about ten times...

Well I had a needle in my arm for about an hour today. Daysye went with me and I started like ten minutes before her and she finished about a half hour before me. The tube kept kinking or something... I dunno...that's what they said took so long but I wasnt looking that's for sure.

It really wasnt bad though at all. Couldnt even feel the needle.

They asked a lot of questions really.... a bit excessive if you ask me... like "have you EVER had sex with someone from africa or someone who has lived in africa, had sex with a man who has had sex with a man (like someone mentioned earlier), etc."?

Anyways, I got a free umbrella. I'm so special.

 

grrr, I want an umbrella! All I ever get is a shitload of calories from all the donuts and cookies and muffins and shit like that they make you eat after giving blood (and before if you didn't eat ahead of time, fuckers)

Yeah...they made me eat cake and drink juice and I took chips to eat later....

Oh and I got two buy one get one free sandwich coupons and my name in an Olive Garden gift card drawing.

Hmm..yeah I'd also like free movie passes.

 

Haha...I remember the questions...and answering them is like "how in the hell should I know if a guy has had a secret man-fling and didn't tell me?"

Haha... I was thinking the same thing about both.... Only what I said when I got home was "have you ever had sex with a donkey who has had sex with a monkey who has had sex with an alligator?"

 

i never get free stuff when i give blood

 

i got orange juice. though one year when our school was doing a blood drive, we got olive garden and a few other restaraunts to donate food and drinks. that was cool.

 

yeah...it was quite an experience.....it was the first time that i was ever able to give blood since i turned 17.....i have tried so many times but my iron levels have always been too low....so i would just give plasma then....and the whole time i was freaking out because i am terified of needles.....but i also look at it as something that is for the better and that i can get over my fear some way or another so that i can help out some people

 

some weird questions.... but I suppose there's a reason why they ask them.... ?

The trick to getting the really good free stuff is to not eat or drink water, and run around for awhile before going so that you pass out, then they have to give you good crap cause they feel bad.

 

lol, TheRosesAreFree.... good plan. But, unfortunately, it involves passing out and I'll probably hit my head doing so. Then I'll loose a pint of blood and they'll have to pump back into me what I just donated...

 

Yeah it sounds great except for the passing out part.

 

One time I was late for my appointment and ran practically all the way there....then they wouldn't take me because they said I had a temperature!

I told them I just ran there so the nurse waited a bit and checked again...it was fine but I didn't pass the iron test...
