Hi, I just started a hydro setup and am having some problems with my leaves get browish spots on them starting on the older leaves and now spreading upwards... Could it be over fertilizing them... I changed the solution to just water a few days ago to see iif it would stop , i havent seen much change for better or worse... Any tips would be appreciated
It could be a lot of things, are you able to post a picture? That would help us diagnose it. But, my first guess from the symptoms would be a calcium def. If you can't post a pic, maybe some more info would help, like how big are thee plants, what sort of hyrdo setup you have going, what lights, how far from the lights, NPK ofthe solution, type of fert, that sort of thing.
I've found that a Ca def starts on older leaves. I agree with podious, PH is a definant possibility, since a ph problem can manifest itself by showing a def in a lockout.
here are some pictures, i used deep water culture (which i know is not the best for dope), and CFL's (total Wattage 125w) so not too good of lighting... um the leaves are also yellow so im pretty sure i butchered my first attempt at hydro, i grew outdoors with very good results last summer....lasst summer pic included... it turned purple in september...it was delicioso http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q300/greenmystik/DSCF0010.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q300/greenmystik/DSCF0009.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q300/greenmystik/IMG_2358.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q300/greenmystik/DSCF0003.jpg
