i had heard a lot of lsd,its life changing powers and all the jazz....
i had been tryin to get my hands on a drop for the last 3 months and finally after a lot of effort my pal got me the drop this new years eve.
we popped it at a rave party but it gave me nothin i expected it wud
i had heard its a drug to be respected and not to be taken lightly...i heard tht u wud get life changing insights and a lotta ppl have stopped smoking, scoring smack, drinkin etc etc....
nothin has changed for me....i did it day b4 and still want to smoke and drink today...i wanted to pop the drop and expected to get all this revelations abt me becomin a better me.......i was left with zilch
by the sixth hour into the trip and the sun came up,everyone were dancing and i wuz just standing there feeling shy that ppl were watchin and i really dont like dancing in front of others....i mean if lsd cudnt allow me to let go of myself, somethin tht i really hoped it wud do,whts the freakin use?
i got the high but wheres the changes....all i wuz lft was with a headache on top of my head coz i think all the energy in my legs went up there....
now i'm scared i mite be psyched for life coz of the negative imprinting.

Did you even have any hallucinations, see any kinds of patterns, of any sort? You were probably drunk for one. Two you were at a rave. How can you honestly get any insight with all the loud music. Lastly maybe it wasn't LSD? Maybe you needed a higher dose?

Also if you want insight, and what not then do it with a few friends in a nice quiet enviorment. Maybe out in the nature.

It sounds as if you wanted LSD to give you insight in which you could change your ways. Just do it yourself.

exactly maybe it was a sign to show you that "you" need to change these things....i dont think anyone has taken lsd and the "drug" directly changed them into not doing smack or what ever, its how you use lsd as a tool to change yourself...you cant just eat it and go raving and expect your life to change, dont get me wrong i love raves but theirs a time and place for different experiences depending on what "you" want from you acid trips.

Maybe you shouldn't expect so much from a tiny drop of liquid, no matter what wonderous chemicals it may contain. Acid is merely a catalyst, not some wonder drug.

I'd say that with acid, it's ok to do it at raves when you are well experienced with it. Otherwise, it could easily get too overwhelming. The fact that you say you hate dancing in front of others is very revealing. If you'd done e instead you might have found that those inhibitions would disappear.

But from the sounds of it, either you had weak acid, or not acid at all. NEVER take acid on top of booze. It can't help at all, and can actually hinder. What you're doing in effect is to initiate a war in your brain between two substances which have entirely different actions.

I'd advise trying it in a different setting.

Don't worry about being 'psyched for life due to negative inprinting' - it will fall away in time. You'll feel different again in time.
Changes to our lives take time. LSD can give you the insight perhaps into what you might want or need to change, but obviously, it won't actually carry out the changes for you. And the changes might not be at all what you think.

Just to add - I agree with the poster above - I too am a great lover of raves - I'd go as far as to say that the rave scene saved my life in some ways - but still, you need to be cautious with acid. I've had literally hundreds of experiences on it, but if I chose to do it at a rave, I'd only take maybe half a blotter. It just isn't a 'social' drug, whilst at a rave there is always a strong social element.

Acid overwhelms me like crazy at raves :) I love to party, but there's something about a room full of strangers dancing to psytrance that gets me into the weirdest states.

Edit: Of course, more and more these days I find that there are less and less strangers, and more faces I recognize :) but the lack of communication and focus makes my mind wander.

If your looking for some insight from LSD you might not get any, or you might have to take alot to get some. The only times ive ever gotten any insights was when i was really fucked up and that isnt always fun. But if your really looking for some insight from it try doing it by yourself and just think start thinking about different stuff, but that usually doesnt work for me when i try and do something planned like that most often i wont have the attention span to do anything like that. If that doesnt work just keep trying and maybe one trip you'll have that life changing insight that your looking for.

    Good luck to you

You know, once upon a time I was into the dead too. We always used the music as a guide when tripping - let it take you wherever it wants to. The insights etc just come of themselves.

:) it was probably something elementarily simple that he'd have looked at after and been like "what?"
