And she said I think so...
She had to ask her sister, and she informed me that, yes they had. :D She told me the date and I immediately could find it on archive, I thought that was pretty cool.
My aunt said she didnt go inside the show much, she was handing out pieces of paper with smily faces on them :)
I would have loved to alive back then man..

My dad used to play with The Dead at their rehearsals. His mom was a secretary in the same building that they practiced in.

BS. How would you know? I have seen them a ton of times before and after Jerry died and they are still great. It's obvious by your post that you have never seen them w/out Jerry.

I saw them without Jerry and I must say, worst concert of my life. Then again they only played ONE song I like, and it was Cold Rain & Snow, and they changed the lyrics to it so even that blew. Dont misunderstand me though I'm sure they are good still, I must have just caught one of their shitty performances. My mom saw them live once back in the early 70's and she said she fell asleep lol. But my aunt dragged her there and my mom is not a fan at all. My aunt is a huge fan though so it's all good :)

I realize that, I used to have at least well over hundred live recordings, but they never used the lame lyrics I heard when I saw them live. That's all Im saying. The actually said :" Well I married me a wife, and I loved her all my life" instead of "Well I married me a wife, she been trouble all my life." MAJOR differance in the whole entire POINT of what the song is about, and that, my friend, is the definition of, lame.

Much like your mother you are not a big fan of the dead. One song that you liked? That's physicaaly impossible for those of us who are big fans. If you only liked one song then you don't really like them. That's OK not every band is for every person.

LOL. So his wife was in the audience that night. So what? Does it have to be about you? Songs aren't about anything. They have different meaning for every person. It is irrelevant what the intention of the writer was. We all take songs as they relate to us.

Guy, just because I dont like something your favorite band did doesnt mean shit. Of course the band doesnt have to do what I or anyone else paying their ass wish they would. I just pointed out a part of a concert that I did not like, and quite a few people who attended the show were disappointed as well. And no I am no longer a real fan, I still like the classics like Cassidy and some stuff from Anthem and American and Working Mans, but I have grown very tired of pretty much every other song they recorded, as well as what they stood for. It is a weak scene now filled with shady ass people and I dont care for it.

I don't know. I'd have to ask him. It probably was one in San Francisco. He's an army brat, and his dad was stationed on the Presidio for a long while.
