My names Jane and Im a huge Jim Morrison and The Doors fan. I just joined, love drawing, painting, writing poetry and listening to music. This is my latest poem - tell me wot u think of it: In a land where yellow sanded plains stretched on for miles And immense canyons the colour of burnt caramels rose out of the earth, Like rocky, towering skyscrapers Skies red with purple clouds Occasionally exploding with clamorous bursts of thunder and flashes of lightning, Then pouring down with rain – like unsalted tears from the heavens A giant burning ball of fire that impaired eyes when looked at And took lives when touched In a time when eagle gods ruled the sky and snake goddesses ruled the ground, Anything was possible and the earth was immaculate and beautiful Tribes lived harmoniously, Sharing food, and praying to the animal gods they created Then, when came dusk, they took on their animal forms Lizards, snakes, wolves and rats, dancing together around the orange fire of life Feeling the affectionate heat Embracing its warmth Looking into the flame, seeing its story Its fiery tale of pain As they hear it crackle and see it smoke with the boldness it withholds For the flame is like a god and the natives treat it so Worshipping its power and wisdom, and light Bathing in the gloriousness until it burns out And all that is left is plain grey ash Something once so magnificent, vivid, a giver of life, a god, Now crumbled and blown away in the wind By JaneJimMorrisonFan 25/12/06

Thanx guys I just came back from the beach and wrote another poem. Its way shorter but here it is, tell me what you think of this one too! I’ll post new ones wen I get sum more time so check this space!! The summer evening was as searing as a flame of red Aflame, on the end of a candles wick The warm wind was caressing as it blew through their hair and kissed their naked bodies They gazed at the sunset, the breathtaking scene of the glorious sun leaving to rest Cool was the sparkling ocean, alive with waves, like snakes, writhing for all eternity Blessed with the reflection of the summer sun making it shine like a thousand diamond rings
Heres another poem: Emaciated rays of sunlight shone in through the shutters that were yellowing with age Yet it was night, dark and humid and full of mystery Her skin was deeply wrinkled and long hair was stringy and the colour of grey asphalt But then again, she was young, too young to look that old She walked outside, slowly but surely, and stood watching the sunrise…or was it the sunset? She wasn’t sure of anything anymore
And another: It entered my ears and filled my brain, my throat, my heart and body, Pulsing through my veins, then escaping through my open mouth The floor was softly trembling and I felt like I was soaring, but with my feet firmly on the ground I closed my eyes, to block out the world, because at that moment nothing else mattered, no one else mattered I was alone with the music, and I was a part of the music
