Tools: Scale

The only times I saw gram scales was at my science lab at school. I'm in the market of the scale and was wondering where people can buy gram scales.

 

I have two balance scales right next to me. One measures grams and the other measures grains. Unfortunately, the gram scale tends to stick and doesn't give good readings. The grain one is dead accurate, though, and conversions are easy enough.


Both are borrowed. I have no idea where to pick one up. I've been wonderin' that, too...

 

YOu can get them online or at your local headshop.

 

lab suply companys of course. anywhere from a hundred bux on up to a couple of thousand, depending on how fancy/accurate/easy/convenient et c. you want. on the other paw, you could probably go to one of those places that sell gold dredges and maps and stuff like that and get a little double pan balance with a set of weights for less then fifty bux. then there's postal scales. the simple cheepie balance ones. or again you can go first class and spend accordingly.

i'm not sure but i think they've got scales of some kind in there too.

A hundred bucks is expensive^^^ You can get them for $40 and up at headshops and online.

 

kitchen stores may have somethign as well, considering some recipes use weight as a measure instead of cups or teaspoons

 

I don't know if you want a scale with a digital read-out or not, but there are also manual gram scales at headshops that cost less than $10 that work pretty accurately, depending on what you are using them for. I know they work wondrfully with moderate amounts of marijuana.

 

where they sell bongs, they usually sell scales. try a habib store too.

 

Cool, I'll check out my local headshops. I was going to buy from Ebay but I find I don't know much about the brand and how reliable they are. Any recommendations for a brand that's cheap and reliable? Don't need scientific measurements--just something that has an error of 0.1 grams or less is good enough.

EBAY, check it out. I got mine dirt cheap, almost 1/4 the price of any headshop.

Weather it be gram, grain, ect....look at eaby you will be surprised at the low prices vs the headshops.

 

Aye, e-bay is good. Some friends of mine got some awefully accurate digis for under 10$.

 

I bought mine from some guy who wanted weed really bad.

 

What brand did you buy and how long have you been using it?

 

I have a postal scale, digital. The only downside to it is that it doesn't do half grams. but I don't weigh anything that small anyways.

 

Scale is too general. You want a digital, triple beam, postal, spring loaded? You looking to weigh large quantities or just personal sized bags?
