so okay y'all, I searched this in forum archives but still have a ton of questions..My dad is being transferred to Washington state and I'll be joining him in June (I currently attend Kent State in OH)....In order to get a major cut in tuition, I gotta stay in WA for at least a year before applying to any schools but I'd like to start visiting them when I get out there....

I want a school that has the shit I wanna study as well as that alternative/liberal/hippie vibe...I want to work in Marine Conservation, so I think I'm gonna have to study environmental stuff for Bachelor's degree and then in focus on marine conservation in graduate school...The vibe is second to my education though, if it wasn't i could just stay at Kent -- But anyway here's what I'm wondering:

How does Evergreen measure up academically in general and with what I want to focus on (the hippie/green vibe is not in question because from what I've read and researched, its a very hip school)?

If ESC will not adequately fulfill my academic needs, what other schools would in the state of Washington?

    Thanks y'all!
