Hello! There have been a lot of changes in weather and wild life in my back yard over the last couple of years - I might not be the sharpest tool in the gardening shed but I figure that global warming is to blame. When scientist and Governments say that the changes in weather patterns and the melting of the polar ice caps might just be a cycle I have a good laugh.

(but it’s one of those nerves laughs)

I used to be pretty in tune to the weather but I can’t tell what the weather is going to be like be like any more because its so messed up. The Brant geese and Staler Jays around here are starting to not bother migrating and the black bears don’t always hibernate because it’s warming up. For the last couple of years I have been worried that my well will dry up because there is not as much rainfall or snow.

So if there has been any changes in you’re backyard that were caused by global warming please post it so we can prove those scientist’s and Governments wrong.

PS for laughs I posted a link to a humorous essay I wrote in adult collage about how global warming would be a good thing for Canada. Please note I got a Cplus and the essay is suitable for all ages.

when I was a kid, this was a snowy region, we would have maybe 5 snow days a year.

Now I live in the same place and we get lots of drizzle and maybe 1 to 2 good snowstorms a year, it really is a drastic difference

notice that treeline creeping north in canada? albedo is disappearing fast...

i'm from florida. i only saw red tide once as a child. now it happens every year and is getting stronger and lasting longer AND is affecting more areas. it's killing off manatees, damnit; i love those sea cows. last time i went to the beach there were thousands of dead fish. there were bodies littering the sea. people can't even go to the beach because the toxins are so harmful.

sarasota, fl, has one of the most advanced, world reknown marine research facilities. they're tracking the blooms constantly.

I'm in Florida now, it was 84 degrees today and on Xmas there were big tornados. I've lived here for 10 years, it use to get cold in the winter, not snowy up north cold but like 40 or 50 degrees. There are signs everywhere, how anybody still claims they don't see em boggles my mind.

The cherry blossoms are blooming in NYC right now. How's that for frightening? The thing that gets me is mainstream media showing nitwits golfing and stuff who say "Ooh I love this weather, isn't this great!" argh!

Well there are things you can do to help reduce the amount of harm you are causing the enviroment, you can do this by offsetting your carbon on websites such as; www.co2debt.com . On these sites you are able to prevent climate change by funding ethical reforestation projects. I personally found that www.co2debt.com was the best site for this because of their strong relationships with other non-profit organizations
