a really stupid question

i have a really stupid question, and you all are going to laugh at me probably, but bear with me...
i thought i read somewhere that it is possible to have temporary dreads...something to do with honey.. i dont know.
is it possible to have temp dreads? id get the real deal, but my problem being that i need my job and dont allow it. and im sort of afraid of shaving my head. (personal reasons)

 

You could have dread extensions, sort of like cyber-goth's. Usually they're bright and colorful but you could make some natural looking ones. I'm not sure how they would attach in normal hair, maybe someone else knows?

I would stay away from putting honey in your hair..!!!

 

I think the extensions are knotted/braided into your real hair.

 

and where would one find these extensions? actually, i thought i saw some in greenfields-they were colorful and made by felting. maybe i can make some... thanks for the idea! now the only question would be how to knot/braid into my real hair...

here ya go! they're like hair extentions-i saw them at Greenfield's and googled for instructions-they seem extremely simple and cheap to make, think ill get the supplies when i head out for church tomorrow! ^_^

Try braiding

 

braiding was one of my options, but the hair around the base of the braids get terribly knotted. ive tried it unsuccessfully-hurt like hell tryin to comb all of the gnarly knots out!
