What's the Best Movie to Watch While Tripping?

...hopper was fryin whilst playin a fryer.i seen the out takes [behind the scenes] and the producers weren't sure if he was going to be coherent enough to play his scenes,lucky for us he was.

If you want to trip and enjoy yourself while watching a movie, my suggestion is good old Fantasia. GREAT visuals, tripping or not! Uncle Walt knew how to entertain.

 

I can't watch movies while tripping.

Although once on mushrooms a friend of mine was playing The Dark Crystal, some Jim Henson movie, and I became totally engrossed in it. So I guess maybe of shrooms I might.

But LSD? I have severe ADD when I take acid. I can't sit still for a minute, let alone for an entire movie.

 

did you notice the guitar player for Tull with the floppy hat? that's Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath - one crazy cameo appearance, baby!....although Yoko's momenchance-esque performance in the bag cracks me up!

i have to agree with samson and others that fantasia is an excellent choice...a flick that blew my mind in a creepy fashion while trippin was "reanimator" (no, not "reanimated", the new kid flick, lol)....the scene where he puts his head between the chick's legs is just too much, man!

So you guys like to watch movies while tripping? Well the best thing that i've ever seen was called 'Dark Side of the Rainbow', for those of you who aren't aware this is called a movie synch. You basically play an album over the movie.Here is the set up:

-Get a copy of the Wizard of Oz
-Get a copy of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side on the Moon'
-put the movie in
-stick the cd into a cd player, press pause on the cd player and reset it to track one.
-press play on the movie
-this is an mgm movie, when the lion appears, wait for the 3RD ROAR press play, specifically the beginning on the third roar.

you'll know you have it synched up right if the change-over on the cd happens when director mervyn LeRoy's name comes on the screen. make sure the cd player is on repeat as well, it keeps synching up each time around, muchkins dance, even the lyrics match up with stuff in the movie. Best song in my opinion is us and them, but time and money are always great too. there are dozens of synch ups

here is the best site i've foudn on synchups, there are other movies and albums too, another good one is 2001 a space odyssey(the third part: Jupiter and beyond) with echoes by pink floyd - the song from meddle, not the album 'echoes' or the version of echoes that is on echoes =P. press play on echoes right before this appears on the screen: Jupiter and Beyond, so that the first ping coincides with text coming on the screen. this is the most tripped out part of the movie by the way have fun


sit back and enjoy, this is amazing if your tripping, but pretty cool even if you arent.

 

I've always enjoyed fukt up shit while I was tripping. Shit, the other day while I was tripping on L I was listening to some of that old ass satanic Three Six Mafia shit when they're talking about turning crosses upside down, robbing Adam, and raping Eve. haha

Its not a movie but i watched the alot of the first season dvd of lost on mushrooms and all the crazy shit going on in the show made the trip so much better.

 

Really pretty much any movie is good while high, and while tripping, any movie with a lot of colors like the ones mentioned before me.

 

fear and loathing is my all time trippin out movie.

but any kind of comedy is good when im just stoned.

 

wise words bro. your location is the set, discernable moments in time are scenes, and the people you meet are characters.

but if i must watch a movie, i'd watch two or three simultaneously, with the sound off, augmented with loud music. i'd go with FANTASTIC PLANET (beautiful french psychedelic animation) and the stop motion version of ALICE by Jan Svankmajer (one long bad trip starring stuffed animals and slithering meat), accompanied by a good nature documentary.

experience the bizarre crossovers between films, juxtapositions between beauty and filth, light and dark, contexts that would otherwise never occur.

it would be an insult to waste the experience on a television program... yuk!

I don't know if this is considered movies, because they're just shows but, 12 Oz. Mouse from Teletoon and Robot Chicken. Those cartoons are the most messed up things I've seen. Just go on Youtube and check them out. They get me laughing so hard when I'm stoned. Probably even better if your on some good acid or shroomies. But if you want to watch something more well-known or more dependable then just watch something like Alice in Wonderland. But I suggest you check out 12 Oz. Mouse and Robot Chicken. Even if your not stoned or tripping. Just great shows to watch anyways.

 

I would have to agree. On acid i can't sit still either. But when i did shrooms once i watched the Wall and it was absolutely amazing.
