What do you consider "losing your virginity"?

Exactly what the title says...

Is being fingered losing your virginity?
Oral?
Just intercourse?

Just curious what everyone thinks.

between guys and girls, I would say a girl's no longer a virgin once she's had intercourse.

 

haha... my first told me that if he didin't pop my cherry, in other words, bleed.. then i hadn't really lost my virginity... i had to straighten him out on that because hymens can break when you're a little girl riding your bike.

i also agree with intercourse being the determining factor in losing one's virginity.

I hate the term "lose your virginity" because it is one of the lies that have been used to manipulate people into unwanted celibacy.

Something is gained, not lost, when one has sex for the first time. Sex is a milestone in life and I agree with everyone else that the milestone is reached when you have intercourse for the first time (or whatever the equivalent is for gays/lesbians/etc).

Even this is somewhat arbitrary in that there are people out there who have never done the deed but who are so experienced in every other way that their virginity is little more than a technicality.

Really though, I think the whole issue is overrated.

Yeah When I heard them girls saying they were still virgins because a guy hasn't gotten off in them... all I did besides saying "wtf" was pretty much slapping myself in the forhead and shaking my head heh...
