Okay, I know it's asking a lot, but I'm getting really sick of this... why does our president feel the need to talk down to everyone? Everything is some form of condescension. Today on NPR there was a sound byte of Bush talking about how he and members of his cabinet and team were meeting with members of congress to make sure they understand the seriousness of the situation in Iraq. He said: "“I fully understand it’s important to have both Republicans and Democrats understanding the importance of this mission." You know, I DON'T THINK THAT'S REALLY AN ISSUE. I really doubt any congresspersons or senators are unclear about how _important_ this is. The hard part is doing it RIGHT! Yeah, I hate that. We KNOW it's important. f*cking duh! Spend less time telling us why it's important and provide some leadership and effort in RESOLVING it! I think I'm a little frustrated...
He's not talking down to us, he's a moron and he's only spouting what has been written for him by marketers that think that will appeal to the main US populus. They want us to believe there is some sort of partisan politics going on, but most of us know that both parties have been so bought by huge corporations that they all agree on anything that will put money in their own pockets.
I think he does talk down to the American people. I always get the feeling that he thinks everybody is a 3-year old.
