When I was 19. @ days before my 20th birthday, I found out I was 7 weeks pregnant. My current boyfirend at the time was forcing me to keep the baby. He also treated me like shit. IF you girls got pregnant at 19-20, would u keep it?
wow, i'm really sorry you were in that sitaution. no one should FORCE you to do anything like that - i hope you followed your heart and did what was right for you. personally (and this is ME, i wouldn't expect others to nececerailly agree), i would not keep a baby if i got pregnant at that age. in fact i don't think i would keep a baby (i.e. i would have an abortion) unless i had specifically planned for one. there are too many unwanted kids in the world already. if i ever plan for kids, i will most likely adopt and give some kids a home and love and oppurtunity they wouldn't have had otherwise. i don't feel justified bringing new life into the world when there are already so many kids in need.
I lost a child when I was eighteen, but if I hadn't miscarried it I would have had an abortion. For me, the decision to keep it would depend on who the father was. The two people who forced themselves on me ... I would have never kept their children because I would have felt like a liar and just plain a cruel human being to bring a rape baby into life. On the other hand, my two consentual lovers ... one I would have kept, the other I would have had to think about long and hard. The point of this reply is: This is a VERY personal decision, contingent on a number of factors. No one should EVER. EVER try to guilt-trip you into one way or another. Do what you need to do. Think of it this way. What would you rather do -- humanely abort a fetus, or give birth to an unwanted human being?
I would agree with you. I would adopt kids before having my own. Ever think about adopting babies in china. They are killing them off one by one and its so sad.
