    Apart from her rubbish.

I'm going to declare the abandonment of tobacco come the first of Jan.
Forced upon me really so a difficult mindset is in the process of being adopted. Go and buy some patches in the next couple of days and try to adopt some resolve.

Stop smoking at 2007? By then I'll probably be dead, unless they invent some fancy immortality drugs.

Don't recall ever making a resolution before, just seemed a good date to start on a month ago. A few weeks to get my head round it before I start.

Just have to get into making fudge is all. :)

The last time I attempted I was banned from the house because of my foul temper.

    That is frightening.

The situation was different then though, my lady was in hospital at the time, and so everything was a lot more stressfull. he says with a brave face.

Congrats! I quit smoking 8 years ago (though had few minor relapses over the years - pack here or there that i'd have few of and then toss) - so I know just HOW hard it can be to stop.

Keep it up though. So glad I don't have smoker's cough anymore. *blech*

I had a really hard time of it even this past year because my brother-in-law was staying with us for a bit and he smoked. He also would roll spliffs with the weed/tobacco mix and when he offered I would have a puff or two. After doing this a few times I started craving cigs again. Tobacco is really so evil and addicitive. It's sad that when you haven't had it for 8+ years and get just a tiny taste it can make you crave it so much.

To be honest my nicotene cravings are not bad at all (it is strange)...... I drink strong coffee and that is taking the edge of I think (dont ask me why)..........

The only thing I have missed in the last week was the action of smoking and its associations i.e pub, clubs, chilling around friends house smoking etc!!! You know, temptation points. But, I have made a list of those situations and keeping away from them for at least a month while I am quitting. I went to pub on wensday because I had to and ended up ripping at least 10 beer mats up in 3 hours because I had to find something to do with my hands.......

Ciggerettes contain over 69 cancer causing chemicals including arsenic, Benzine and clorine aswell as corrosive extracts which eat away at your lungs from the inside.i am not going to start preaching for people to stop smoking. There choice if they choose to inhale poisons.
