I'm not talking about drummers but in the groups section..and yes,I must say that Neil peart is greater than McBrain
I'm sure many would say enya is better than either. What's your point? Stop appealing to the lowest common denominator. Rush is some of the sappiest 70s drivel I have ever heard.
Firstly, I wouldn't be too sure of your enya statement, and if you can't get the point out of "Rush > Iron Maiden" than I suggest you press "Alt + F4" immediately, as you're too far gone to be bothered with. It's not like I held any soft approach in coming across with what I was saying. Comprehension helps. Do you happen to know if this lowest common denominator that I've been appealing to also happens to be the highest common factor? ... Look it up, get back to me. I couldn't care less if it was the sappiest, hottest, most powdered, crunchiest, rankest, or most salty 70s drivel you've ever heard, smelled, touched or tasted. Honestly.
I wouldnt say rush is better than iron maiden, but its all a matter of opinion, really. I think rush is an overplayed, overrated group in my honest opinion, thanx to FM radio. you dont hear any maiden on the radio, unless its dee snyder's house of hair. still maiden is leagues better than rush, better vocalist in dickinson, better bass player in steve harris..... better guitarist(s)...... the only thing rush has going for them is neil peart.
Your sad attempts at humor are so unfunny that they are paradoxically laughable. Do post more. Trying to talk metal with a kid who can't stop spouting off about metalica, megadeath, or rush, is like trying to talk literature with some one who won't shut up about Stephen King. In other words your loved little bands are like musical McDonalds cheese burgers, with mass appeal. That is truly low to people who have been listening for a while and know the really good bands that would just scare a kid like you. Now go ahead with one of your witty comebacks so I can chuckle again.
You haven't answered my question, and you're straying from the topic, but do what you must, at 30 years old, you're quite aware when you're out of your element. Megadeath - Megadeth, it's ok though, lots of people don't realize that. So now popularity is supposed to determine whether or not a band is truly metal? So what you're saying is that truly good bands are the unknown bands that lurk sooo deep in the underground that mentioning their name sends shivers down the spine of satan himself, and forces the pope, upon it's throne, to wet itself. Ok. Sure. It's ok, I'm sure loads of tr00 kvlt people would agree with you 100%. Frankly, it's quite humorous to me. I've also always found it funny when the apparent village idiot finds humor in his losing battle of wit, so continue chuckling, but know that we're all chuckling too. I also find it pretty lame that you're trying to say that you know of more bands than me, it's like a schoolyard insult but the lameness is multiplied by age.
Yes, I do know more bands than you, and I know more about metal than you. But that's just a school game right? When we're talking about metal someone who knows more is irrelevant? What could possibly be more relevant? As for dodging a question, no actual question was made clear, do repeat it. As for bringing up my age, it just means I have that much more time to have listened to and learned about metal. Oh, but somehow that’s irrelivant. I never said any of your little bands aren't metal, but don't let facts stop you. I'm saying your bands are common, in the lowest sense. I only said you were afraid of the good bands, other people (pope included) aren’t so childish and misty eyed. And the fact that I misspelled megadeth is trivial especially since I really don't care about the band.
Hey, I like Stephen King (Hearts in Atlantis is a damn fine book)! AND cheese burgers! And yet I'm still unfathomably more kvlt than all of you limp-dicked poser homos can even begin to imagine. In fact, Abbath sucks my cock every day in exchange for lessons in kvltness. P.S. Every band that has ever released anything but a single demo are sellouts and probably jewish. Except for Simon & Garfunkel.
Just how do you suppose that you know of and have heard more metal than me? On what do you base this? Age? You have absolutely nothing to base this on, so it's really quite a worthless thing to say. Not that I consider myself to be the human wikipedia of metal, and my itunes library only holds 13129 songs, but judging from what you've said in other threads, I don't exactly see you setting the world on fire either. Speaking of age, in your thirty years, have you not learned how to identify a question? Go back to my previous posts and look for this character ( ? ). When you locate one, read the words to it's left, for it is there that you will find my questions. This is a common practice in the english language. When a question is asked, a question mark ( ? ) is found at the end of the sentence. Furthermore, you can use said character by holding down a shift key, and pressing the appropriately labeled key, found directly to the left of your right side shift button. ( Exact location may differ on some keyboards) Your age should stand for much more than how much music you've listened to. Whether you realize it or not, it's not impressive or whatever in the least. Hell, in your thirty years, one would expect you to know how to spell Megadeth. A historian, after thirty years would know how to spell "Hitler" regardless of how little they cared for him. Its ok, you can admit stupidity, or try for "typo" now, if you'd like. Yes, you have it, I'm definitely afraid of good bands. You're definitely on to something, it makes me more misty eyed than the pope...
I must agree that Panzer must know metal more than you as he was here during the metal era and you were still a baby or even something else..I'm sure that Panzer must already know all the songs that are on your itunes, even the nsync ones..and everyone already knows that you are afraid of good bands..
Metallideth - you may or may not notice but i post a lot less on what used to be my favourite forum because every time i enter a topic i find you preaching your self opinionated bile to others. You seem more than capable of bringing megadeth (don't know if i spelt it correctly and couldn't give a monkey's left bollock to be perfectly honest, it has NOTHING to do with one's knowledge of metal!) into everything and arguing the toss that the music you like is considerably better than that of others. Does panzer know more about metal than you? well, he's certainly been around to actually see the progressions and changes in metal music. the second paragraph of your last post was a sad stab at sarcasm, was unrelated to this topic's content and really brought out the twat in you. Reading it, it looks like you are really trying to impress but you fail on all levels. just because you learnt the enter sandman solo and the sad but true riff earlier this year does not give you the 'Metal God' title which you seem to think you own. the only thing about you which i can see is you can and will turn anything that someone says to you around when it suits. the way you incorporate sarcastic remarks and humour that just isn't funny is lame. it's not big, clever, amusing or articulate. it just makes you look like a ****. now i'm gettin outta here coz i carry a strong fear your excellent grammar skills. but man, you are so up your own arse you're practically licking your bollocks.
BTW, my age alone is irrelevant. The fact that I have been into underground metal since 94 and was listening to thrash before that is relevant. I couldn't agree more with PsyGrunge. Your superior attitude is repulsive and the fact that you only skim the top of such a broad genre makes it that much worse. You truly make this forum so much less just by your pretensions.
Would you like some lip chap? Oh, I'm quite sure panzer has heard all the songs on my itunes. Yep. ...Talk about worthless ass kissing.
