Now, I've heard of this before on a number of occasions, but who would've thunk that Wikipedia had this documented? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweater_curse :behead: It's the curse of the knit sweater, that one that you've knit for your significant other! I'm posting this as a warning to all of you who are planning on knitting sweaters, or anything for that matter, for your beau! Don't do it! :ack: Although, the link does conclude that in order to avoid the curse all together, you can do one of 3 things: 1) don't knit it 2) wait 'til you're married (wasn't I told that applies to something else too? what was it again?) 3) allow your other to design the sweater (pick pattern, yarn) even if you the knitter doesn't want to Just wanted to share! Food for thought!
that is too funny! I don't knit but I have made boxers for my hubby. He doesn't wear them too often. . .
:beatnik2: Well, I've never heard of a boxers curse, so you're likely safe! (but then again, what do I know?) :sunny: But I have heard of this sweater curse... Anyway, I thought it was amusing at the very least... :ack:
If i knit it he better wear it... so ill never knit him a sweater... im still working on getting the ambition to knit myself a sweater
its sort of like the tatoo curse...if you get the name of your lover tatooed on you supposedly the relationship will fail
