vegan! the only non-vegan thing i do is occasionally wear wool things i owned pre-vegan. say what you will, i don't believe in wasting things. i have not purchased any new wool items since going vegan.

Vegetarian, but in the new year I'm going to cut down on my animal product consumption as far as possible (mostly for health reasons, it'll make me eat more fruit/vegetables).
Full blown veganism feels really overwhelming, but maybe with cumilative small changes I'll get there in the end. Some progress in that direction is better than none I guess.
So I'll be veg*an - 'vegan on a good day, but some lapses to vegetarian'. LOL, if that doesn't catch on I'll just stick with vegetarian.

Lifestyle wise I don't buy wool, leather or things like that. Even my shampoo is vegan society approved. So yeah it's a start.

    Still veggie.

I think I'm gonna be veggie for life. I think it would kill the parents & in-laws if I started refusing all foods cooked with a little dairy in it. (sigh) So to keep the peace I guess I'm... ambian at home & veggie when out?!?
    love,
    mom

WTF that is insane about the soda. Anyone would spit out, because duh soda and cheese just don't go together. And they think we're the freaks.

You could always get a veggie pizza with no cheese. Cheese-less pizza is quite good.

Left on my own I am vegan, but when visiting family I can be a little flexible. I might tolerate a little cheese and don't ask about ingredients as long as it does not contain meat. My mom is willing to bend for my diet so I am willing to bend a little to make things easier on her.

Well, I guess I'll start calling myself vegan. When people ask. I very much dislike labeling myself all the time, but it's been a few days since I ate any dairy and I know now that I'm never going back. :) I mean, I'm not going out back to shoot myself if I accidentally consume some - but I'm not going to knowingly do it. I doubt I'll even make allowances if I'm ever visiting family or anything. I have no problem eating raw veg for days and days if that's what it comes down to. I've never had as much energy as I've had since I stopped eating dairy. :D I might as well kick honey, too, while I'm at it. I only ever ate it once or twice a year so that change won't even really effect me.
