Hi All and Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays which ever you might prefer. Today is Christmas I am at work from 0600 to 1400 Then I am off to meet my husband at my sister's for Christmas at 1500. We will be there until about 1700 then it is off to the Mother-in-laws and Father-in-laws for the evening. Alot of the day I will be in the car. My sister is going to have our traditional style dinner with turkey, stuffing,mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, and cornbread casserole. At the in-laws my father-in-law is making spagetti and will have cottage cheese for a side dish. Yesterday X-Mas Eve we went to the hubby's step grandparents from 1300 to 1545. Then it was off to my granparents for dinner and a get together with evryone from about 1620 to 2000. Then it was next door to my parents. They insist on opening gifts with me and the hubby by ourselves. I am the baby so they are hanging on to the Christmas at home with at least on of their children. We left their house at about 2130 and went home there we opened gifts for the animals our family gives gifts for family members and the pets alike mainly the dogs are the only ones that receive gifts except at home we include the cats. It is a chance to get them new toys and get rid of the old ones. It was a wonderful day. On friday night the hubby and I took each other to pick out our gifts. We each bought a new watch for each other. He received ps2 games and I received a load of Eeyore ( He is my favorite cartoon animal) stuff from the Disney store we hit a killer sale there. I even found some Tinker Bell stuff for my neice She will be so excited. We have one more Christmas get together on New Years Day at the hubby's mom's parent's house. I will have to be late or miss it because I have to work from 0600 to 1400 that day. As you can see we stay busy this time of year. Now what are your plans?
we finished moving the kitchen over the last 2 days since solstice,, .. today we are chilaxin to the dead an playin monopoly.. later we eatin lasagna an salad an shit..
Today I spend "time" with my bitch and kids... then went to spend time with my family and fill my tummy. For the rest of the night I'm just going to relax!
I woke up stupidly early, opened my stocking, waited for my mom to get up, we opened our presents, set up my new ps2, played games, did dishes, did laundry, took a shower, went to my aunt's house and had supper, opened gifts iwth my stepdad, aunt and cousins (awesome bunch of people, god I love them), came home and now I'm gonna putter away the night. Tomorrow though I have to take out the garbage, vacuum, sweep and mop, make stuffing, stuff the turkey, make cabbage rolls, clean the dishes I've dirtied, tidy the living room, make mashed potatoes, cook yams, make a salad, etc. Mmmmmmmmm foods
Hmnn.... not much really.... I've been working a lot on my computer night and day, since I haven't in so long. Then I slept for most of Christmas day. I did celebrate a mini kitty Chirstmas for my cats though, it was cute.
well, christmas eve i baked cookies with kai, then we put out the plate of milk and cookies for santa. then we waited for kai to fall asleep, but she was so excited she was trembling. after we put the babies to bed on christmas eve, we set up their playhut ultimate playland in our front room. it took up nearly all the space, and our cats think it's the best cat-toy ever. i put out their ragdolls and kitty-babies in their stockings, threw in a little candy, took a bite out of a cookie, put it back in the plate, threw out the rest and poured the milk in the sink. dave wrote a "note from santa." we pulled all the santa gifts out of hiding, unwrapped, and laid them around the tree (santa doesn't wrap, his arthritis is a bitch in the winter). then we went to bed. unfortunately, the sity decided at 2:00 and 4:00 thatit was time to work on blading the street. i'm sure everyone was very excited to get some of the ice off their road, but i can't think of anyone who was about to go out and cheer about it. got up too fucking early. kai walked in and asked if santa came last night, i said yes. she said "did he check on me? i cleaned my room really good and left my door open so he could." i told her, yes, he checked, and he was SO PROUD and left her lots of good stuff and extra candy. we walked downt he stairs, and kai whispers loudly "oh my GOSH!" and dove into a tunnel in the playland thingie. i made coffee while she crawled out and she and her sister tore apart their stockings. then we sat down and the unwrapping began. holy cow, they had too much stuff. all of it is really good, though. so, now that the kids have nice new things, we tried to get to dinner (after cleaning the house, again). but the turkey wasn't completely defrosted. fuck it. we got close enough to dinner, i don't really want to talk about it. after dinner, me and kai went through what was left of her toys, pulled out the good stuff to give to charity, throw away the junk. put some of joey's baby equipment out for charity and called it a night.
4 days and 3 nights of partying at friends houses and family get togethers, excessive consumption of food, alcohol, cigarettes, cannabis, and all with maybe 3 hours of sleep per night... Needless to say I feel like a train wreck after all that but it was great fun
Happy Holidays I went to Puerto Nuevo for Christmas weekend with some friends and am supossed to go to Las Vegas for New Years but after spending last night in the ER with food poisining and jaundice I am going to stay home. I am most likely going to my grandmothers for New Years and we're going to have some family time, which I really enjoy, even more so than Vegas.
I spent christmas all by myself...wondering what the hell happened with my computer & trying to figure out how to connect it back to the internet. I called my mother the day after christmas....she spent christmas in the hospital
Well, this year was a bit different than regular xmas's. My parents had moved to France, so my hubby and I went there for 2 weeks, had an early christmas with them before I came back, and on the 25th we all had dinner at my sister in law's, which was fun!
