I dunno, I was reading Tutankamen an stuff about the Egyptian royalty, I haven't read much yet, but some of these royal types while they lived seem quite evil to me. other than that probably Blackbeard who used to tie incense sticks in his beard going into battle to create a haze of smoke around him and scare his enemies.

Hitler. Although I don't agree with his tactics, the man was a genius.

    Haha @ Mr. Hand

    H. H. Holmes

He built a hundred-room mansion complete with gas chambers, trap doors, acid vats, lime pits, fake walls and secret entrances. During the 1893 World's Fair he rented rooms to visitors. He then killed most of his lodgers and continued his insurance fraud scheme. He also lured women to his "torture castle" with the promise of marriage. Instead, he would force them to sign over their savings, then throw them down an elevator shaft and gas them to death. In the basement of the castle he dismembered and skinned his prey and experimented with their corpses. He killed over 200 people.

Read about Holmes in college, never had heard about him before. Obviously he's no Pol Pot or Stalin, but as far as sadistic and evil fuckers go, I think he's pretty well suited. I've heard people say he was America's first serial killer -- quite the claim to fame, no?

I'm surprised nobody yet mentioned Ronald Reagan or Rush Limbaugh.
He is the bastard who motivated the transition to Conservatism in its modern sense...trashing social progress, telling white America it was ok to be racist, initiating the tough-guy "blame the victim" mentality which still plagues the USA.
While GW Bush is (unbelievably!) an even WORSE President than was Reagan, in terms of actual policy, Reagan made Bush II possible. His was the "conservative revolution" which said that govt need only service corporate interests, that govt has no role in even safeguarding the welfare of the people, "let the buyer beware" and the devil take the hindmost.
The rednecks who fell for Rush Limbaugh (quite possibly as evil as Reagan) used to vote Democratic. Their fathers' and their lifestyles were made comfortable and middle-class by the actions of liberals and radicals, mainly Union activists, but they fell for the Reagan-Limbaugh slick schtick.
For 20 years USA politics consisted of calling someone the L-word in place of substantive argument, using shill issues like abortion, gun control and gay marriage to prey on every bigotry the GOP could find in the USA electorate to get their slimesters elected to control the Congress, gut the USA's social consciousness...
Well, you know recent history well enough, I hope. Now it's spiralled down to the point that the world hates the USA and Americans seem to be wandering in a daze that makes the days of Jimmy Carter's "malaise" seem like a Golden Age of purpose and progress.
To my mind Reagan and Rush are the biggest traitors of the 20th century.

LOL. are you kidding me? Why would you come on a hippy forum and ask this Question? Anyways, Not for his evilness but for his Leadership and cleaness and uniformity, I guess Adolf Hitler. He sucked as an artist though huh? Guess he could never be a true hippy.

Hitler was actually a pretty good artist.

And I'd go with Pol Pot.
