It's so sunny here... crazy place... I go from 30 degrees to 90 degrees in a day. I do have a big empty 3 bedroom house all to myself here though in the middle of lovely nature. Do visit.
The weather has been crazy in Tampa today... should be raining again soon. But I love the fact that it's usually around 80 degrees.
You know, the term "Apopka" is Seminole for "A big potato"... Glad you're enjoying Orlando... but it's probably my least favorite area/city in Florida. I'd rather be on the gulf coast.
Aye, odd weather... should be around 30 tomorrow night... I await in anticipation. Ha, the name fits... Apopka just seems like a long range of suburbia, at least I leave out in the country. And enjoying Orlando... nahh... I've been to the airport more than I've been to the city... I need to know it to enjoy it.... I'll probebly transfer to some school here next fall... anyone know of a good (CHEAP) school with a good writing or secondary education program?
Florida sucks. It changed from hot to cold all the time, and their's no snow. When it's semi hot when it's suppose to be cold you can't even go swimming, because the water will be cold. I really, really want to snowboard. You can't do that crap in Florida. I don't wanna surf. That sucks. Wooptie doo riding a wave for a minute tops, and the waves here are crappy anways! I'm not mad Florida just does really suck.
Ha, I got a cold every bloody day in Arkansas... it jumped from 40 to 80 in a day and then back and forth all of November and December... I prefer Florida, Arkansas weather is fucked insane. Plus, I love the beach and the beach loves me. I have a long reigning emotinal connection with the ocean.
Barefoot hiking in December... you bet I like Florida. Now if we could just teach the state about the arts and also teach people how to drive....
I used to live in Honduras... that was... hmm... 2 years ago? Florida does have lots of art shows, my dear mother is planning to sell her handmade shirts (which are rather pretty and unique) in art shows here... but yes, every place needs more arts... I'm yet to discover the Florida art scene. ...Yes, celsius... I still have 3rd degree burns all over me... Actually... I am a lobster.
I wanna buy your mom's clothes. Salvador Dali exhibit... St. Pete. Florida has alot of art in general. I have a painting of Key Biscayne Light over my bed... and a Florida map... and a Conch Republic flag. I love Florida... in fact, my sig pic is of a chartered schooner just off of Mallory Square (cruise ship port) in Key West. My dream job...
It's not the heat that'll get you, it's the humidity. As long as you're about 20 miles to the coast or closer, it shouldn't bother you. (At least on the gulf).
Heat in Central Florida is fine... well, I love it. A lot of these pussies float from one pocket of air-conditioning to another and never stop to enjoy the sun!
Florida is an easy place to drive, in my opinion. I-95 for the East, I-75 for the west... what is it, 275 for St. Pete/St. Pete Beach... I-4 to Orlando, A1A/US-1 alternate to 95 and running to the Keys...Tamiami Trail, etc. The most difficult part of driving in Florida is crossing from 95 to 75 or vice versa, without using I-4... and going on that little route through Starke and Lawtey, FL. I remember seeing my first hooker in North Ocala, at the Super 8...
