Apperently they have these new puff tests that blow smoke on your person and it can pick up tiny molecules of certain things. They use it to look for ppl that have been in contact with explosives, anyone know if it can detect marijuana?
they puff air not smoke. i'm sure it is capable of detecting marijuana but that isn't their use nor are they checking it for marijuana. as you know they are concerned with explosives
So if i get selected for it tomorow on my flguht, the fact that i toked on friday is irrelavent for the use of the machine? And they wont say anything.
Even if you did toke, and they checked for it (which they won't), that really wouldn't allow them to do anything, you'd actually have to be holding for it to be an issue. Plus, I could have gone to a concert and gotten traces of herb on me, even they couldn't intrude into my privacy that much. And if for some reason you are holding, just act normal, suspicious behavior is the most noticeable thing that they watch for...
you could toke before you get to the airprt and be fine. They aren't looking for it. But I bet thechances of you getting selected are slim. I sat in the Denver International Airport watching that machine for an hour and a half waiting for my friend's flight to arrive, and imo there was a lot of profiling going on with who was selected which is a known issue for traveling anymore
ive been through those air things. i dont think they pick up marijuana at all. i don't even really understand how blowing air can pick up explosives, but hey, its a creative way to make security lines longer
