has anyone ever had this? when did it occur for you? how soon can it occur? does anyone know of any other reason why i would be spotting in the middle of my cycle right after i was most fertile? -shaina
I don't know/can't say (no kids for me, yet) ... but just this past month, I spotted for about a week and a half. It was only about a week after my last period ended (when the spotting started) and I started my period on Wednesday, a few days later than I usually do (and I usually start a day or two earlier every month). But I blame it on the funky weather we've been having, because the seasons/weather REALLY seems to mess with my cycle sometimes.
Implantation bleeding is generally a few days before your period is due, or about 10 days after ovulation. Occasionally, a woman will spot a little bit when she ovulates.
I thought I had a period, apparently it was implantation bleeding. It was about 7 or 8 days after I was supposed to have a period. I just thought it was late. Wrong. Buy a pregnancy test and use it. That'll give you an answer. Or, go to your HD and ask to be tested for pregnancy.
I had it with one or two of my kids, at the time I was expecting my period. It only lasted an hour or so, and I thought it was just a weird period. It wasn't.
implantation bleeding is a very nebulous entity and some OBGYNS wouldn't have such a diganosis ever. personally speaking I woud call it a threatened miscarriage in any case of bleeding after pregnancy is confirmed. however if you do believe such an entity occurs then it would be typically around day 4/5 afte conception when the embryo implants. mid cycle bleeding aka inter menstrual bleeding which is what you describe can be due to a number of things. basically, keep track of it. if it is a constant feature (more than 3 episodes in 6 months) then you need to get checked out. most causes are minor and nothing to worry about. sometimes, it can be due to cervical abnormalities some of which in FEW cases are either precancerous or frankly cancerous and it is these abnormalities that need treated asap.
